music that gets you through life..

Migrated topic.
@zubidlo
I remember listening to some dark and sterile techno at the start of an amazing mushroomtrip.
That got certainly got things going in a direct but honest way. Not bad at all.
Things dont have to be sweet.

Nice, downloading now.

Dark Matter that is good stuff. I just picked up that album and another random album, "Surrounded", to check out some earlier stuff. The new one is really really good. I like the variety of noises. Other one is nice and chill, but not quite up to 'Broken soul Jamboree'.

For fans of skinny puppy, check out "downlaod". No link, sorry...

Scroll back a few pages. I linked a few Download songs in a wall of links post of some of my long time musical loves. At some point I'll make sure to go back and label the individual links like you suggested. They have been one of my long term Psychedelic musical pals. Really intense, but beautiful stuff. First 3 full length albums are all stellar in different ways. Pretty sure most Skinny Puppy fans are already into download though ;)

Most fans would also know 'Tear Garden', but you should check em out if you are not familar. It is the Skinny Puppy family + the Legendary pink dots family. So a little less chaotic, but still weird and psychedelic with the addition of a great lyricist/vocalist in Edward Ka-Spel. Check out "The Last Man to Fly" if it is your first listen. It was right around the time of Last Rights and Download's Furnace. A great period of output from all these guys.

Yah, Download is pretty cool. Saw thema couple of months ago and it let me down a little though. Was good, but not as experimental as I wished it was.

Malaclypse: Tipper did a whole lot of different stuff. If you like Broken Soul Jamboree, you'd probably like Seamless Unspeakable Something. It's still mid-tempo psychedelic stuff (a lil' less ethnic though).

Tipper is also known for beeing one of the major influence for the wobbly glitch-hop stuff (album Wobble Factor, for example):

Really into Terrafractyl and his other projects at the moment (Hypnagog, Mental Extensions). Mainly doing psytrance, psybreaks, psydub and that kinda thing:

Hell yeah! During my study years I attended fair amount of teks in central europe in 90-ties. Never forget 'Czech Tek' illegal festivals. 60-70 soundsystems with 20 000 people 5 days nonstop deep in forests. Good old times. :(

Regards.

Digging the Younger Brother vibe! Did anyone see them live in Camden last Thursday night? I was fully intending to be there but had a serious ticket complication arise that led to me going home on the train in the midst of a 4-Aco-DMT trip, fun times! 😉

This is likely definitely an acquired taste, but, quite a haunting and unique sound...
