Hi All,

Using the protocol from "The DMT handbook"; I was wondering if it is necessary to freeze precipitate for 72 hours, when after 48 hours i already have what appears to be quite a substantial yeald of spice?

What does everyone else recommend?

Also, can anyone forsee any issues with leaving this in the freezer for an extended period (such as 1 week)?

Cheers!

I find that 12 hours is usually sufficient. A good rule of thumb is to wait until the naphtha becomes totally transparent (not cloudy). At this point, all of the DMT that would precipitate already has.

The longer the better but undisturbed for 3 whole days is ideal, 2 is ok too.
Just reuse for the next pull and after the last pull leave it for 5 days solid decant from spice and evaporate to recover any left, if there is any.

It matters not, just take the solvent and pour it off, evaporate it a bit, and pour it back in.

Repeat until theres very little left, or none at all depending on how carefully you seperated your solvent and basic water phases.

Thats what i do

Good to the last drop
