Hello!


SWIM has a problem... he has ground-up 1cup of MHRB, added 470ml of water and 3table spoons of lye. After adding 200ml of Ronson lighter fluid... the lighter fluid did not seperate after 8 hours. So, SWIM added an addition 100ml of water, 1 table spoon of lye and 100ml of lighter fluid. This yielded a decent layer of light fluid.

Sadly, SWIMs first extraction yielded ZERO DMT. Any idea what SWIM is doing wrong?

The MHRB was orders fom KTbotanicals. SWIMS also using lab grade Sodium Hydroxide.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Might want to experiment with adding a layer of rock salt to help the separation. The salt will not dissolve into the naphtha so your spice will still be clean.

That sounds like too much naphtha for such a small extraction. SWIM would have used 100 ml naphtha for that amount. You might need to evap your solvent down to 1/3 or 1/4 its current volume prior to the freeze precip. Also make sure your freezer is on the coldest setting.

Applying heat to the entire water/bark/lye/naphtha mixture (about 40-60 degrees, not too hot) will also help the extraction.
