Anyone know if MHRB is the only raw material which contains these 'jungle alkaloids'
Doing a tek with Acacia Obtusifolia(my fave dmt tree) and was wondering if i can pull some of these jungle alkaloids or any thing else worth smoking... and how would i go about doing it? same way as with MHRB?

Well, the "jungle" alkaloids people refer to in mimosa are simply the other alkaloids in the bark, such as juremamine and kokusaginine. Acacia obtusifolia obviously won't have the SAME alkaloids as mimosa, but it may have other smokable alkaloids that one could extract and which would alter the experience.

I've only ever heard of it having a fairly clean alkaloidal profile, though one can't be sure without further research. If it did have other alkaloids, chances are it'd be trace amounts of other tryptamines... but be careful, some acacia species have absolutely WILD alkaloidal profiles that one would definitely want to know about before smoking.

Interesting, burnt, I hadn't stumbled across that thread before!
Thanks for updating me with the firm powers of Nexian science!

Obtusifolias contain all kinds of crazy alkaloids... and they are not called "jungle"... obutusifolia we reckon might contain up to a dozen or more different alkaloids. A few GCMS's have been done and generally report about half a dozen alkaloids. (none of them really identifiable to modern chemists)

This tree really is amazing.

The reason this gooey, orangey DMT is often prized, is because it often contains these alkaloids from obtusifolia.

I am so interested in acacias! Yesterday i found a floribunda. Im searching if it is possible to make a brew? But im affraid of those others alkaloids...
well, this is my first comment on the nexus, but i´ve been reading it for long time ago. i love the way everybody shares their knowledge. saludos!
