Ongoing bizarre Salvia D. experience

About 10 months ago I had my first real Salvia experience, I had no idea that it would give rise to such a high degree of fear and shock. I put a lot of time into the intention of my experience and was in a great setting alone looking out at the stars from a beautiful window in a womb like cabin. I was unaware of the potency of the extract but knew it was no more than 15x. I took the toke and what happened next was the most insane experience of my life. Suddenly, I was getting ''rolled in'' to the ''mouth'' of an entity I could not see, but knew for sure I was on my way to being consumed. The other interesting thing was I forgot what I had done!

Was I being delivered my fears on a silver platter? Was the invitation to surrender?

Recently, I took a low dose of a 20x extract with the knowing of that I could take another toke if desired. The first toke gave rise to the SAME experience mentioned above with less intensity. I did not forget what I had done. I actually became slightly angry, got up, turned the light on and sat on my bed. I'm wondering if having my eyes open gives rise to this rolling up phenomenon because my eyes were certainly open the first time (10 months ago). I then took another small toke with my eyes closed and started to see/feel these bars (perhaps of time) moving around through my 3rd eye region, nothing mind blowing.

Reflecting upon the experience the other day, am I, once again, being invited to entirely let go? Is my ego that unbalanced? Are entheogens really the work I ought be focusing on?


I have received a lot of wisdom from the Salvia dose thread in the Salvia forum. I intend on reading more. I'm not sure if the once every 7 days ''rule'' applies to Salvia but I assume it does therefore I might ''try again'' in a week or two.

Thanks for listening. I'm not really surrounded by beings in physicality that I can deeply share this kind of thing with. I am open to thoughts, comments and ideas.

I had a very confusing experience, it came on so fast, and so intense... it was almost impossible to describe what I think I saw and happen.

This is an anecdote, but I heard a few places online say that the Entity in Salvia space dosent like when you smoke it. The entity prefers when you Quid it. (leaves in your mouth) Apparently its more forgiving then smoking it. I also saw a clip on YT were Terence Mckenna and his wife say to chew the leaves to.

Thats why I stopped my Salvia smoking experiments, and decided to pursue Quiding option.

Im not sure if any of this is true, but hopefully it'll help you find the answer your looking for.

Very common When I smoke, I always forget how I got there. I just feel like I've gone home after a long journey or something. But I can't remember the journey

Absolutely, yes. At least that's how I've always felt about it. Once you surrender, truly surrender, the entire experience changes.

I always experience a very uncomfortable come up with Salvia if I keep my eyes open. The most fearful trip I've had was when I refused to close my eyes. Most likely out of fear, because I wanted to stay grounded and have the experience stop, but there's none of that with Salvia Once you take the hit, you're going for the ride, no matter how much you may fight it. Having closed eyes and laying down helps you surrender to the experience much easier. I tend to lay like you would in a coffin, as macabre as that sounds. After all, we all must surrender to death at some point. Salvia demands no less.

I'm not sure what exactly you're referring to...once every seven days? You mean a build up of tolerance? If that's what you mean, Salvia has a surprise for you there I find it only necessary to wait as long as it takes for you to integrate the last experience as much as can be expected. I've had four breakthrough trips with Salvia in one night before, each more bizarre and lovely as the last

A note that come through on SD. Hope this is of value to someone, somewhere.

I am, currently, of the thought that ''it'' reflects back to the absorber/initiate exactly what this advanced consciousness known as Salvia deems as being appropriate relative to the absorbers level of consciousness, mind/body/spirit status/condition & intent/respect exemplified unto the medicine pre absorb (+ other variables, setting, etc).

There does seem to be some commonality around ''it'' giving rise to an experience of ''imprisonment'' as being a result, from my angle, of the individual not being fully ready to ''overcome'' ones fears/attachments/desires in other words said as ''it'' not wanting to show ''itself'' to you (yet). From my perspective, if you are not ready to ENTIRELY let go/surrender to this teacher, it will not only NOT deliver itself to you, it will magnify your fears over and over again, and in some cases, create a PTSD type effect.

All to say that I believe that the utmost care should always be taken in this and other arenas of exploration. There are a lot of things to consider, within & without. To he or she whom delve into these realms prematurely might soon discover the degree of respect, sense & maturity needed to embark upon desired journey.

Don't worry the times I used it I had the same thing, I was fully consumed into the plants "soul" or I hardly got anywhere.
I find salvia to be a very "woman" entity if that makes sense, it's all or nothing with no middle ground.

Don't give up though, sadly I did with it just through pure terror after 1 savage experience, I think I must have upset the plant in some way and got slapped down for my behaviour.

It is indeed a feminin entity. Everyone with some experience with SD I heard of agrees with this. The salvia lady is very protective and kind and shows you many interesting and important things. You can definitly can trust her. I never heard of anything bad coming from her direction.
If you want to continue with your explorations just try to let go. And don't use too much. It can easily result in a complete memory lose after the experience. The trips get more intense, depper and meaningful by themselves. Many user experience a reverse tolerance and need less and less material for each experience.

Me and a friend call it "Sally d" because we are sure salvia is a woman plant and soul.
Salvia is 1 of only 2 things that scare me to use, huge shock but the other is 5 MeO DMT

Thank you, nicita. I have went the route of acquiring some raw foliage and an extract 50% the strength of the one used previously. I intend to start exploring the foliage through the absorption of other explorers great success with it as, eventually, bringing you to the same break through potential the extracts do. My lungs/body were made for smoking so I'm not worried about having to take in a few huge tokes.

Mmm, Sally D. Yet to meet (in my more mature years) DMT. Have some Acacia & some other goodies, though I'm more focused on more simple routes of exploration (cacti, SD, funguys, HBW, yahoo). A little hesitant towards doing any extraction techniques as I am in a unique living situation. I have a feeling some may be coming my direction in the near future, though. Will certainly not decline.

Yes salvia is very unique in that way. I know of someone who just has to get a few small tokes of a joint and is completly of to the salvia space. I'm not that deep into it but a bong head of plain leaves are also enough for me, while in the beginning double of that dose would not do much. It seems that the more frequently you use this particular door, the easier it is to get through. I'm glad this post helped you. Trust your own experiences and observations!

I used to experience that rolling up sensation as well when I first started smoking 20x. The more I tried to fight it, the stronger it got. Once my relationship with Salvia grew I learned to fully let go. That's when I started to notice the true power of Sally.

Now a days, the "rolling" sensation last for a few seconds and quickly gives way to the most amazing open eyed visuals. The most memorable experience with Salvia was when I smoked some 20x in my living room. As soon as I exhaled my living room started to change into some sort of jungle reality. If I really focused I could still see my living room, but if I fully let go in the experience I was in this jungle! To my surprise a wet looking greenish colored "being" came from my right frame of vision and began to unfold some sort of plant looking material. It also had on a hat that you would normally see a joker wearing in a deck of playing cards.

That night I had two separate Salvia 20x smoking sessions, and both times I found myself in this jungle with a "joker" like being unfolding plant material. The second time however, the being seemed more annoyed with me, and unfolded the leaves in a way that I took it as he was saying "don't you get it already!?"

I really believe that the aggressiveness that most people get with Salvia, is because they are not letting go and trying to fight the weirdness of it all. LET GO! That's where the magic happens with this plant ; )

Love is all there is my friend, I find when I got back onto these types of things after a solid 10 year heroin use my mind and soul was opened back up again, just like Jim Morrison sang "I'm talking 'bout love, love, love. Grab your fucking friend & love 'em"
If the world had more love in it we would be in a far better place.
DMT will find you in time, I looked for years but 1 day I found it by total random luck, these types of things are guides and teachers, in due time and when you really need it's guiding hand it will appear to you I promise you that.

I have been in a jungle very close to what you posted about, it was like some Aztec steps with jungle vines etc all over it, then a huge pink spinning shape came up and folded out until it consumed everything around ne.
That was my 1st experience with salvia, it had such a heavy "south American" feeling to it, I was blown away after and my friends didn't believe me when I told them what happened, when they gave it a go and then told me about the Aztec vibe they got off it too.

This thread has really helped me put some ghosts to rest, I thank you all for your posts, it means more to me than you will ever know.

Thanks guys & girls, were all just souls on an eternal quest seeking hidden knowledge and this has helped me build myself to being a better traveling soul.

Word to the word. I appreciate your insight & perspective. I am certainly not through with my dance with Sally. The last time I did it (or it did me) I did recall a sort of a ''school teacher'' kind of vibe. For some reason I felt like I was in some sort of a cafeteria or something. I do know that as of so far I have been in doors and within the vicinity (not direct, but within 500 feet) of other human beings not aware of my exploration. Perhaps I will next expand inside of my tent far from others up on a mountain (I love that it's all mesh so I can see the stars).

Even without a breakthrough experience thus far I cannot express anything less than tremendous gratitude for the opportunity of overcoming/releasing my fears of death & the unknown.

I would like to ask.... has anyone had luck with a mind fold & salvia? I just ordered one and am looking forward to playing with it. I'm really looking forward to using it with my daily meditation practice as well.

When I first started experimenting with Salvia it was almost always with a Mind Fold on... That was until I discovered that I get the most vivid open eye visuals during a Salvia Breakthrough! I've retired my mind fold for now since I've learned what works best for me. I still have friends that never take a journey without their mind fold. Let us know how it compliments your journeys : )
