Hi Im doing my first extraction and used the BLAB tek Im pretty sure Ive followed the tek closely
I have ended up after evaping the fumarate, with orangey crystals
I see most crystals in pics on here are white or off white
have I messed this extraction up?

That's beautiful jungle spice! It looks perfect, at least if you used d-limo as the solvent. SWIM prefers the jungle, but definitely try something like this out:

1. Freebase 1.31g of the DMT-Fumarate (will give you ~1g of freebase to play around with)
2. Divide into two piles, one larger than the other.
3. Do a Re-X on the larger pile, saving what's left over from dissolving in the solvent as well.
4. Taste test! A)the white spice from Re-X, B)the jimjam left over from the Re-X and C)the jungle spice (your initial smaller pile)

YUM!

So... This is interesting to me.

I've been using the Q21Q21 tek and pulling with naptha. I always arrive at a very white product and have never experienced anything besides that.

So, in order for me to pull jungle spice, I need to use D-limonene? I am covetous of orange crystals as much as those who pull orange crystals are often covetous of white crystals. I want to experience it all! And a full spectrum pull sounds really enticing to me.

D-limonene or Xylene will pull full-spectrum. You will have to salt out from either of them. SWIM used to work with Xylene and doesn't want it in her kitchen, but other knowledgeable people feel fine using it.

So, then... Freeze precip. is only for naptha? I'm new to using any different kind of solvent, I just picked up some xylene -- never done salting or anything like this. I'm just anxious to see what the jimjam is like :D

Yeah, FP only works with naphtha. Salting is a really easy process. Many prefer using fumaric acid, as it's cheap and readily available, provides a very stable solid salt.

Others like using distilled vinegar or pure acetic acid. The biggest issue with that is it never really solidifies, stays as an oily substance. This makes accurate weighing a bit difficult. On the other hand, you can do a fairly easy conversion to freebase just by heating it. House came up with a tek for making changa where he would add it into a pan with the DMT-acetate, stir it around, and apply a low heat, using a double-broiler. It takes a bit of time and attention.

I used D-limonene and 5% vinegar as in the BLAB tek

looks like some nice jungle spice crystals. I've wanted to try full spectrum for a while.

Can't tell you if it's safe or not... don't know much about it, besides it depends on the pull chem you use.

I'm wondering. You're saying you used BLAB with Limonene and you mention fumarate, which sounds like BLAB Step 4/5 A, then again you mention vinegar, so I'm curious...
Did you do Step 4/5 a,b or c ?

Sorry for delay been away for a while
Blab Tek, so,
step 1 was to mix the vinegar & mhrb,
step 2 was add the lye water,
step 3 was to add limonene and pull off x 3
then as had fumaric acid but no IPA present went to to step 4B,
then 5B and this point had found IPA and did a cold IPA wash to clean away exess fumaric acid,
then cut 7grm lovely orangey spice spice in half and did step 6 the fumarates conversion,
put in the fridge and got a jar of slushy cyrstals, then evaped in low heat fan oven with door open
used this for awsome changa
got more rb coming will deffo use this tek again

This was the first time extraction, got around 7grm of the orangey spice which had a real strong limo smell so did a ipa wash and evaped this got rid of the odour,
split in half and did the fumarates conversion step 6 in Blab tek not sure if this was nessasary to make changa?? with 10x cappi dream herb blue lotus extract and salvia
got the ratio wrong and wasnt quite there, so ended up adding the other half of the unconverted spice to the leaf and it is superb
think next time might not bother with step 6 the conversion

All good!! I have not tried white but this is awsome...

can you define whats a Re-ex ?
