#2 looks like it could be, none of the other ones look like it tho, if you can get better quality pics it would be easier.

Hey Nexus,

may sombody please have a look at what I found and tell me if I it is Phalaris?

Btw., those are two different species. The first three pics are grass 1, the other three are grass 2.

Steppa, yeah thats phalaris

Great, thank you! Both of them? There also was a third variety. I guess I'll take some photos of this too.

Do you know what kind of phalaris they are?

Image 1: The previous Phalaris arundinacea var. Yugo Red flower head a week from the last photo.

Image 2: Phalaris aquatica var. AQ1 flower head starting to form.

what you have there dreamer as yugo red, grows around me in abundance. i will get to them next year, im not in a hurry.

i recently planted my brachy seeds collected last summer in turkey. i planted just a few seeds to test their behaviour in the climate zone im in. i hope they will flower and give me more seeds to plant. it is maybe two weeks since i planted them and they already grew 10-15 cm leaves but no visible stems for now.

(Note: This "Yugo Red" as listed by a particular vendor is not the same Yugo Red as in the literature which is listed as a high 5-MEO-DMT plant)

The thing that makes "Yugo Red" and "Big Medicine" or "AQ1" different than wild Phalaris arundinace or Phalaris aquatica is these are clones that have been specially selected from wild grasses for high DMT content and low content of other less desirable alkaloids. They are spread as clones to maintain this consistent alkaloid profile. Wild grass and seed grown grass has an extremely variable alkaloid profile. Except apparently certain known seed strains like brachystachys and aquatica var. australia.

My reasoning for posting these photos is to give a give a good accurate photo ID of a well known Phalaris arundinacea and aquatica for people to compare their wild grasses to. It is important keep in mind that your wild grass is not going to have the same alkaloid profile as one of these cloned strains; and its very likely your patch of wild grass is not going to the same alkaloid profile as someone else's patch of wild grass, or even a different patch of wild grass from another part of town.

Hope everyone is well!

I'd really appreciate a little help identifying this. I'm thinking it is phalaris arundinacea. Any and all help is very much appreciated.

Could this be a phalaris? Notice that its pretty dry, so the legule seems to have dried out and you can barely notice it.

I'm in italy so I hope its a phalaris aquatica var aq1

Thanks Parshvik Chintan :) . Anyone else have an opinion before I harvest as much of this as I can? I'm probably losing DMT to 5MeoDMT by the day because its so late in the season.
