Greetings All,

So, recently I received my shipment of the following plant matter:
- 56 grams of Gray ayahuasca vine (Tetrapteris methystica)
- 28 grams of Psychotria viridis (Chacruna)
- 28 grams of Banisteriopsis caapi leaves

A little about me: I'm 22 years old standing at 5 feet & 10 inches tall, weighing at 165 pounds. I don't drink, smoke or use any drugs. I eat healthy, work out daily and want to try Ayahuaska strictly for the spiritual purpose, and may be to get answers to some of my unconscious questions.

What I'm planning to do: I'm planning to basically mix all of the above plant matter in layers and do 3 sets of the 3 hours brews using distilled water and vinegar. After brewing, I plan on reducing the brewed matter to a cup and placing it into the fridge over night. Next morning I plan on drinking it without consuming any food, and just going into my room and try to disconnect from the outside stimulus. Though I will have a sitter in another room just in case.

So my question is should I change anything about my dose, brewing, setting or anything else?

All feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading and good luck to all of you on your journey!

By the way, the plant matter that I received supposed to be of a great quality.

Noone knows anything about that tetrapterys vine, or if it will even activate the DMT admixture plants at this point. It is something that is brand new in terms of being available to the west..so I think with that it's just up in the air as to what you should expect.

It's worth noting that Schultes observed its use in cold brews, rather than traditional ayahuasca. More information can be found (and sources are linked) in the collaborative research subforum.

Break up both the Cappi and the ayahusaca into tiny ( < 1.inch) chips with a hammer-ouch be careful. than perhaps even put in a coffee grinder just for a second or two. Than add the vines into a large stainless steel pot (as aluminum destroys said alkaloids) pour a gallon of *distilled water into the pot and bring Just under a boil, (if you boil it too long the heat will caramelizing plant sugars making your Ayahuasca taste horrible and difficult to swallow) add a splash of lemon juice, for acidity and simmer just below boiling as I mentioned for upto 8 - 10 hours keeping it in a separate container..

while in another pot. do the same thing with Psychotria Viridis, boil with a dash of lemon juice in a gallon of *distilled water for 8 to 10 hours... These brews are best if drank immediately and still warm... Drink the Cappi first and 20 - 30 minutes later drink the psychotria brew. Than take the P.V. tea.

You will first want to abstain from meats, nuts, beer and tobacco for a good 48 to 24 hours prior and in case you take anti-deppresants like SSRI prescription zoloft you MUST reconsider taking ayahuasca unless your doctor approves to let you off your prescription regimen at least 6 weeks prior.

Not trying scare you away... but first time users should think about taking Ayhuasca with a only the closest friend to be there for him/her... especially one that sings.

Than it's austa las vista for the old you! Good luck

Sincerely Jarl Von Hoother
