Which solvent is the safest and most preferred by users here?

Some say IPA and others say Acetone. Does the acetone need to he anhydrous or will any acetone work from a hardware store?

I use straight 40% vodka. Takes a little longer to dry, but guaranteed safe.

I use 90 and higher ethanol when I can. I'd say safer is highest proof alcohol but lower proof takes longer to evaporate... you only need a tiny amount. otherwise yes acetoneor isopropyl alcohol, should evap clean but its not food safe.. that beingsaid, IDK acetoneis rountinely use tomake salvia extracts.. just make sure you give it enough time and some more time once it looks dry.

I use acetone. It evaps really fast. I’ll mi x it all together, and then put that jar in a hot bath. The acetone will start boiling off pretty quickly, as it has a much lower boiling point than water. And once it looks pretty dry, like no more liquid in bottom of jar, I’ll dump the herb out on a plate to get full air exposure to finish drying.

Exact thing I do.
