prepping for first oral journey

I did not defat the second extraction. I did do it with the first. The first extraction yielded way more at basically one fifth the bark! Even not defatting the second I ended up with less than the way smaller first extraction. You would think if anything due to the fats in the second it would yield more goo at least than the first extraction but that actually wasn't the case.
 
When working with acacia confusa, I do a few defats with naptha and then still expect a gooey first pull or two.

It's a weird bark. Confusing, sometimes. ;) Perhaps.... The acacia confused yah?

Is not exactly recommended, but I've found that I can get a higher yeild(per pull) when I shake the jar vigorously with the nps.

Many people roll the jars to avoid emulsion and pulling fats out. I shake. It works for me. :)
 
I did shake the first extract quite a bit but the second I only rolled around a bit. How long would you usually leave the NPS on the based solution? I did for like 45 min each of the two pulls on the second extraction but agitated it a few times during that period. Now the xylene pull in the jar that hasn't been decanted yet has been in there two days or so. I'm sure it holds a lot of goods.

I have drunk 4 month old rue tea, wasn't bad. :p
A couple of weeks (months even) in the fridge is ok.
Don't know about the ACBR, but if it is anything like Ayahuasca or Mimosa it should stay good for a while. Watch out for mold.

Cool man thanks. I'll probably freeze it if I need to store long long term but its nice to know its fine in the fridge for some time too.

Egg cleansed Acacia teas, ime, have been able to stay in the fridge for atleast 3 months without it going bad, been in there 4 months now and it's still going good as ever.
 
On a side note just in the event I won't have a ton of time to brew things. Could one grind up say 3g rue and say 5g acrb and just straight up encapsulate it and send it down the hatch. Would that be an effective method? Or would most actives not get metabolized being that its stuck in the bark. I think I've read this will work. I do not care if I purge like crazy its all part of the experience for me. I'd imagine doing it that way would certainly cause purging on a massive scale though.
 
Certainly you can take them in caps, i tried the Acacia in caps a couple times before and it certainly worked, same with Mimosa. Just remember to keep cool during the purging though, throwing up chunks of root bark and seed isn't pleasant and one could potentially choke if they aren't careful in clearing their throat during/after the purging, ime.

Right on. I'm thinking I might do it in caps then. I can handle puking no problems and just want and feel as if I should put the whole nine yards down the hatch. Thanks!
 
Np. I remember back in 2012 when i was taking Mimosa and Rue in capsules.... man those were so good times. I loved being able to load up a few capsules of the Mimosa inner root bark, potent stuff, and it worked great. 3 capsules of the Mimosa with 300mgs of Moclobemide, gave such a strong body load and was so strong i was like "oh fuck me, never again!" lol, of course though, i was super sensitive to the stuff back then, i would be taking Mimosa Rue (as i referred to it as) like 3 - 4 times a week, and when the Moclobemide came along, i realized pure DMT/Mimosa was not as good as Mimosa Rue.
 
I'm not sure how many caps full would be 3g rue and 5g bark. I guess I'm probably gonna fill them a few days before the experience. I'm gonna buy 250 plus caps so I should have more than plenty.

Can't wait to do this in about three weeks! Years and years of waiting. Its finally time...
 
Here is a post a bit off the topic but I wanted to share before and after photos of my latest extraction. This is the third pull and was done with xylene. Its evapping right now and hopefully will be done by tonight.

First two pulls were with naphtha. Didn't yield a bunch but I've got a good feeling about the xylene pull. Its stained pretty yellow. Can't wait to see some goo!

 
Now if I could only find some heptane. I would stir the goo about until it got hard and crayonish looking in texture. Then evap the heptane and boom nice crystals! Or freeze precip perhaps if you are looking for pure white crystals. That is if heptane is freeze precip capable. I'm not sure on that. I know naphtha is freeze capable.

I've heard that one could watch the first 2-4 hours of a freeze precipitation and pour off the solvent once you see a yellowish filmy formation occur. Once the solvent is poured into a new container continue with the freeze precip and the resulting crystals should be nice and white. Furthermore once crystals have set pour solvent off quickly and place container upside down on paper towels and put back in freezer for at least several hours. That step allows the crystals not to melt down by having a bit of solvent still on them at room temp. The few hours in the freezer upside down allows the solvent to drip downward and leave the crystal fairly solvent free. Then further dry crystals under a fan for several hours and then your done.

Also save poured off solvent and evap that for the other actives that couldn't freeze out.

As I'm nine days away from my first aya experience I'm starting to really get hit with feelings of oh crap that's really not far off...
Just thinking about what could happen makes me feel like I'm already spacing out! I guess I'll just drop the capsules the day of trying not to think much of it until its happening. No way I can get cold feet as I believe its time. However the prospect of what's to come is quite scary in a good way though.

Tomorrow! Ahhhhh!!! Its time for sure I'm as ready as I can be I guess. Been feeling very positive about it all. I'm a very spiritual minded person whom embraces the universal love so I hopefully make it through all good. I can't stop thinking about it. I waited sooooo many years. Any practical last minute advice anyone can give? Thanks

Just ground up my rue seeds! The bark is already powdered. About to encapsulate my dose here soon. I'm going to do the whole plant material route. I want the essence of all the medicine inside me. I'm cool with purging and kinda look forward to puking my brains out believe it or not. I want to feel the negativity being expelled from my being. I also wouldn't mind feeling as if I died altogether at some point. Feel kinda like if I didn't go that far I wouldn't have really got the full experience.
