Quick question

When extraction don’t from mhrb how long do you wait before adding your warm naphtha? Should someone wait a bit say an hour or go for it to break down or go at it straight away mix mhrb with lye and when your naptha gets warm from a warm water bath start extracting? I know a guy that don’t wait he puts bark in lye, get the nap warm and adds it as soon as it’s warm. He sees approx 1g per 100g mhrb i tell him he should wait at least a 1/2 hr but he is his own and thinks he is right. Me, idk that’s why Im asking. Yhanks

Is this in the context of ATB or STB? In the first case you don't need to wait at all, as DMT freebases immediately once the pH gets high enough. For a STB you do need to wait.
