Goo drying questions

How would i know if the goo would be ready? i have seen goo that is still goo after a week of drying and fan running over?

it could either be plant fats or traces of solvent. Goo works fine imo. If you dont want goo try a recrystalization

Receystalized 2-3 times then I just gave up and let it dry for a while, my previous attempt I let sit for a week and a half and it never became waxy, when I hold a flame to it it just smells bad but does not catch fire, would it be safe to assume it’s ready?

its prolly good to go, tho why its not recrystallizing properly is a good question.... it shouldn't catch fire so that's good. Goo makes good changa

We've all seen it, a clear (sometimes yellowish/orange) residue that doesn't resolve. It's frustrating. Sometimes it is due to impurities, but often it's simply a supersaturated solution of unresolved polymorphs. I've recently applied a couple effective strategies to resolve it. One involves adding ethyl acetate, with a glass dropper. I add just a few drops, swirl it around, and pour into another clean flask.
