Recycling mimosa solution?

Migrated topic.

Rising Star
Greetings again fellow nexus members. I have three HDPE jugs filled with what seems to be spent mimosa solution. I've been using naphtha with a STB tek. However, I'm curious. Can you reuse this solution with other, more aggressive solvents, such as xylene or toluene to obtain more spice? I'm assuming that if this is the case, it would probably be jungle venom that was extracted, but I'm still interested.

Any help would be useful.

Thanks in advance!

Xylene will pull a bit more - you'll have to salt out though, no freeze precip with xylene or toluene.
SWIM has had some luck warming the mimosa base solution and the naphtha, shaking it vigorously, and doing one last pull. Then into the COLD freezer for 48+ hrs... crystals and slush form and decanting and clean up are rewarding. In summary, pull till there ain't no more.
Give it a shot!
Best,
L

Thanks for the input.
I've done three pulls for two, and one pull for the other. Each pull used roughly 700ml. of VM&P Naphtha. Would you suggest simply getting more naphtha and just pulling until I can't get anything else? I'm somewhat considering buying xylene or toluene, simply because I haven't really had any experience with jungle spice. However, I'm wondering if it would even be worth it, considering I've heard such mixed reviews about the experiences related with it. I do know that there is at least some left, I usually get four - five pulls off of each jug before they're spent.

Essentially, since I'm essentially out of MHRB, I'd like to make these last three jugs count, and don't want to let anything go to waste :)

SWIM said he has pulled 5 times from one gallon before he considered the mimosa 'wine' exhausted. Have you freeze precipitated what you have so far? Do it, and re-use the decanted solvent - no need to buy more. 700 ml is a very large pull - he shoots for ~150 ml each time, combines, freezes - no evaporation/reduction of volume step - unnecessary, as long as the freezer is COLD and he is patient. Once he left ~ a liter of previously FPed yellow naphtha in for a week and ended up with a few beautiful bonus crystals - precip/crystallization can take time.
Factors which may matter: Warm naphtha may pull more, wider spectrum - some of what he pulled was ~orange earwax type spice... most was canary yellow. Sufficient time for the layers to separate is key. Others don't like it, but he has no problem with emulsions and shakes the jugs vigorously - just make sure pH is 13+. Toluene, and especially xylene, are stinky stinky stinky and you cannot FP. You either have to evaporate or salt out. Ventilation is essential for health and safety.
Hope this helps,
Best of travels,
L
