4 whole pages of people pretty much rehashing the same stuff over and over. Is there anything left to say about this subject? The point was made on the first page. I don’t get it. It’s not like anyone has anything new to say about this.

I tried to post but the topic seems locked or maybe its my pc

anyway I took the time to write this so shall post as I think its a fair comment:

69ron did you have to keep this thread going again lolol

no though seriously ron, as an incredibly inspired figure almost god like scientific and therapeutic crusader and influence to me and many others on this forum I dare I say it:oops: have to disagree:shock:

I think because it is a forum which has an enormous member base each and every one is just as entitled as the next guy to type their personal response, having said that your right beating a dead horse gets boring and ultimately embarassing but I think the op would appreciate the increassing amount of positivity and anecdotal rhetoric consequentially posted by our fine members....

for instance spicemans rather frightening yet inspirartonal recollection of his life and forgive my vainess ( is that even a word? vainess lol) my own post ( erm the not so tongue in cheek childesh, keep the thread alive ones:lol: ) which allowed spiceman to share a fundamentally personal experience crucialy linked to the masked martyrs parents/respect issue and also also me to address the op in my own way and also pay tribute and applaud traveler and the rest of this community ( which may I add dear friend you are part of the majestical and hyperspatially designed corner stone!)

much love to you all

I just wanted to say thankyou for your kind words regarding my post ambi... im not really sure why i posted that there in such a manner.. it is something i never talk about and i dont know why the hell i chose that time and or place to do it. Im glad someone got some use out of it tho. I guess i was just a bit emotional at the moment. I was questioning the rationale of posting it after it was all said and done but now im ok with it... since in your words it was crucially linked to the parents/respect issue at hand. It was a bit overkill but i got it off my chest, i certainly did not however mean for it to be a thread robbing post.

I just really wanted to hammer home the concept behind the post. Im sure you picked up on that to have responded in the manner in which you did. I appreciate it. Respect your parents while you have them to respect! Peace and Godspeed all!

spiceman

listen up real good my man:d

seriously that post that now I understand you qeuestioned and debated even posting was as shocking and startling as it was clear and educational.

it would have been an absolute travesty, disadvantage and forefeiture to this community if you did not show the extreme selflessness and transparancy in sharing what you did with a group of faceless digital text. but yeah behind the screen names there are people and dont take silence as indifferance as beleive you me your words have prob had an impact on more people than yuo will know or ever know, as advice like this does not only just float along a digital interface until it is forgotten, it is repeated and resonated and enforced in peoples hearts and in the way they treat their children and therefore their childrens children and so on, so in a sense please forgive my melo dramatics but what you gave was a infinite and a piece of timeless priceless advice scraped from the very core of your soul and physical tears from the depths of your sadness

you are to be congratulated not only on your personal development but on you willing to open old wounds to help others you may never see....

finest regards
darryn

Your point about allowing every member to give their point of view is valid, but at some point all the views get lost in a giant sea of views that’s impossible to navigate. I just don't see the point in keeping it alive. It's already many pages long. Basically people were nearly unanimously saying “NO, it’s not OK to do things behind your parents back”, and gave pages and pages of reasons why, and there was no real debate going on. If the original poster didn’t get the point on the first page, I doubt reading the next 3 pages of the same material is going to get the point across.

I think one of the mods locked that thread. Maybe they'll unlock it again if they get enough requests.

Did you ever visit Bluelight?

Bluelight has these awful gigantic “Big and dandy” threads, with hundreds of pages that go on forever that cover everything under the sun that were made by merging dozens of threads together that had something very minor in common with each other. It’s almost impossible to find anything on that forum. The threads are a mess. I’m so glad the mods here don’t follow Bluelight’s example. I think Bluelight is one of the worst forums out there. Bluelight is a mess, and their mods seem to like it that way.

It’s not good to have gigantic “Big and dandy” threads that go on forever. I hate it. I think the mods here feel the same way. There used to be a gigantic vendors forum. This was the one “Big and dandy” style thread on the Nexus. It was impossible to find anything in it. Now we have many smaller vendor threads and its much easier to find things. This is the way to go.

The more subfolders you have, and the smaller the threads are, the easier it is to locate threads concerning the exact subject you want to discuss. But if there are too many folders with too many duplicate threads, then you also have a mess. This is where house cleaning is needed. It’s up to the mods to decide when a thread is getting too long or when there are too many nearly identical threads. It’s a fine balance. I think the Nexus is a good example of how its done right, and Bluelight is a good example of how NOT to do it.

absolutely friend

you have seen certain typical snowballing threads come and go and also seen the detremental impact they can have on forums when they are allowed to spiral out of control.

you have a duty and responsibilty to ensure the uniqueness and exceptionalism of the dmt nexus so one can not argue with your noble intentions:d

infact we are more than lucky to have you sir:d

but then the differances between the average poster here (thanks to the nursery) versus the less desirabe forums ( I did not just call the shroomery undesirable did I? ) is vast beyond beleif. so maybe we deserve a little more playtime sometimes and I think it was substantiated in this topic due to the considerably valuable information shared on the latter pages.

but agreed the line must be drawn from time to time, brave descisions and all that for the benefit of us all,
so of course no need explain yourself bro:wink:

much love

Spiceman,

I connected with your post on a very deep level. It made me rethink my conceptions of my folks as uneducated drug haters. When I was a high schooler, I became obsessed with the idea of extracting MDMA (for the sake of extracting it, not for profit) from some sassafras roots I had handy with a tek I found on erowid; started assembling a distillation apparatus, buying precursers - and when they found out, they threw out all my glassware and dumped out all my solutions. I was really bitter for a long time, but after a couple years, I've had some time to think about it and I must say I agree with your post: I should respected them more for providing for me. I'm going to go write them a letter now while I still can.

Thanks.

Sounds like you have some pretty good folks :)

I find posts like books , you can read them or ignore them . If there are those who like that kind of a thread and the mods let it continue , so be it . Makes no difference to me either way .
