San Pedro D-Limonene Filtration Problem

Migrated topic.

Hello everyone. i'm gonna keep this short. The D-Limonene tek by Ron69 was performed successfully before. However, it was attempted again and the Limonene WOULD NOT filter from the plant matter. Very strange... I have no idea what is going on, very frustrating. Thanks in advance, please ask anything you may think will help this to be solved.

hello endlessness. thank you for your reply. :) yes both times a french press was used. the second time, however, it was like the plant material mixed in so much with the limonene/water, that the press simply could not filter it. it would not press down without extreme force, if at all. the limonene did not filter 'cleanly' from the plant matter. i'm thinking maybe too much water was added. vinegar was added to the mixture anyways, and while it is a pain in the ass to extract with a bunch of the limonene/cactus on top, it is still possible. I would just like to avoid this in the future, and i don't understand as the first time it was 100% successful easily.

also, because of the way it's being done this time, a lot more vinegar is being added at once than the recommeded amounts. i'm wondering if multiple pulls will still have to be done, or if an increase in the volume of vinegar alone will affect yields in any way.

After separating the majority of the limonene from the cactus with a french press or similar method, pour it through a paper coffee filter. Keep in mind that some of the limonene will remain in the cactus.
