Seth Rogen Is Afraid To Smoke Salvia

Seth Rogen is doing publicity for the "Green Hornet". He was on the Howard Stern show.

Howard asked him if he had ever tried salvia. Seth said no, that he was "next in line" to smoke it, but when he saw how the people reacted who smoked it ahead of him, he said, "Fuck That Shit!"

Seth said that he did shrooms in high school and that he had the opportunity to do ayahuasca but declined (out of fear).

I think a Seth Rogen movie about salvia could be good.
#edit# especially if they treat the salvia experience with respect and honesty. (And throw Jonah Hill from 'Superbad' in there too. I love that guy.)

I think if one is afraid of trying something it's best just to take small dose first and then see if it really is that scary. I guess some of us have been afraid prior to taking something(such as dmt) and later on seen that the experience really wasn't anything to be afraid of.

Aya is not a game or a cool tool that makes you super-human once you took it, you are not special for taking aya. If you have taken aya then you are someone who has taken aya, thats it. Aya can be great for inner growth but it is not a mandatory substance. If people feel not ready for any substance than it should be normal that they skip that experience. Putting peer pressure on taking any substance or doing any deed or action is in my opinion plain wrong.

Shoot, can you blame him? Salvia can be quite inhospitable sometimes from my experience. I can't remember who said it exactly, but it was in a thread comparing the dmt and salvia experience and the member said something along the lines of "sally will squish you under her finger until you come up with a serious intention for which you will be entering her realm". - or something like that, I have quoted it crudely. I can't agree more though. Although I've never been to the salvia circus.

Salvia is even more serious stuff. Much less of a sense of humor than DMT. It's not a fun party drug. I've had a couple people I've turned on to it try to bolt. That's scary. I've been able to talk them into sitting back down, but I't was a bit worrisome at the time. I'm sure if Seth Rogen saw someone totally out of control, drooling or moaning or yelling, he probably pictured himself doing the same, and that's what made him say, "Fuck That Shit!"

This isn't a contest. He should do whichever drugs he's comfortable doing. What if I said, (insert Nexian here) is afraid to shoot heroin. "that shit will destroy him". Wouldn't that sound lame?

Sorry if I was unclear, that's what I meant. I was saying that if he's scared to take salvia, then he's probably not ready for the power of aya. I find salvia to pale in comparison. I wouldn't give anyone something like that unless they really wanted it.

Dam, I really wish text could convey tone. I would never peer pressure anyone. I wasn't saying he's afraid and that's wrong. I was saying he's afraid, so he should probably stay away from it. I probably should have elaborated but I was on late last night and I guess I didn't realize how the post came off.

I totally agree with you. I still have some 25x that I'm afraid to touch. Plain leaf is a walk in the park, but extract gets serious.

Howard mentioned that Seth's movies have made just under one billion dollars. Seth probably needs to keep his head clear, but it would be great if he had a breakthrough experience on salvia. He's a writer, and he might be able to write up a good salvia related screenplay.

If a movie is made about salvia, I hope that it is something that salvia users like myself could appreciate.....(but I kinda doubt it). John Cameron could make a good salvia movie or maybe Tim Burton. 8)

I've done my fair share of salvia, aya is not only a much longer trip, but I feel it's more personal so bad trips tend to be worse.

i cant say anything about dmt yet but salvia is deffinatly the ONLY thing that made me consider ending my life for fear that i was stuck because my friend told me "its just like shrooms"...
confusion only brushes a description of what i felt cause i could'nt even remember taking any thing....

the truth is if i knew what that shit was going to do to me the first time i would have never touched it...
fear is just a word we use to describe an emotional state,... and it so does not come close.!!
