Hello community. @Puzzleheaded and I are going to roll out a new version of the CIELO interactive checklist with @The Traveler and @blig-blug 's help .

There will now be a questionnaire and the option to screen capture your results.

You can give back by posting the screen shot with all the data here. Plan is to create a repository of images that can be easily fed to a database via AI. Dream is to identify and confirm correlations for yield other than clone genetics 🤞🏻

As an example, here is a real extraction from @Puzzleheaded . The clone name is unkown so this data would only be used for bridges in general (for example), but it will still be useful. Partial answers are OK, the data can always be cut, but the more details the better. We will be adding lighting conditions (UV index if outdoors, or grow light power/wavelength), age of plant, and harvest season to the survey.

Is there anything else you would like to see added to the questionare?

Maybe age of the plant ? (questionnable how to calculate this ; maybe age of the column used...? )

I have no proof or solid data, but i got the impression that if a plant is actively growing, it has less alkaloid than if it's dormant ( like for Acacias that need harvest at the end of a dry summer) . That's maybe why aging seems helpful (do we have a side to side to actually confirm this?). In my climate, harvesting before they wake up in the spring could be the most important parameter? to be researched...

So that would be a fall harvest? I have heard this before, that traditionally maximizes potency?

Notice that I mentioned we would add harvest season in the next iteration, along with age of cutting.

That will be an awesome addition. Given enough time and data could provide some useful insights. I'll keep this information in mind when I perform my next extract here the next few weeks.

Have you thought about adding a 'submit data' button to the calculator? Thinking similar to how bug reports work today. 'Your browser crashed.. Would you like to submit the bug report?' I wouldn't mind submitting data as long as personally identifiable information wasn't collected ( IP, region, timezone, browser, etc etc. Some of these seem not that important but the more you collect and compile the more identifying it becomes ). A little helper modal window / popup that shows the data being submitted would put people at ease.

I don't have exact confidence in the ages of all my cacti and sometimes stress duration. I could get better about cut age going forward though by putting the date it was cut via sharpie on the cacti along with the type / clone name.
