i know that i can't be the only one on this wonderful forum who has a "thing" for beautiful glass and interesting smoking devices..... i would LOOOOOVE to see some pics of foks' collections and favorite devices!

here's my humble collection thus far....in this pic we have (clockwise starting at the big ming vase):
1. frosted glass Hurricane water pipe with ash-catcher attachment (used primarily for smoking herbs that get combusted....which isn't very often..)
2. 200 year old jade opium pipe purchased in nepal. dragon detail. the jade ball in the center actually spins around! it sits in a cool jade "3 buddhas" candle holder i found recently.
3. beautiful pale pink "alice in wonderland" pipe. excellent for smoking whilest perched on the cap of a giant mushroom.....
4. my "prize possession" sheldon black 6-chamber (all from one piece of glass!) water pipe with moveable mouthpiece. the glass bowl and "sizzle stick" attachments in front of it are for use with the purest, whitest spice only....the bowl actually is like a glass "basket". you fill it with crystals, heat up the tip of the glass rod and use it as a torch...no butane, no burning spice...this thing is a serious work of art...happy birthday to me!
5. VG collection. one handmade maple (for all blends/changas that do NOT contain cannibis), one beautiful walnut (strictly for my changajuana) and of course the new and truly amazing glass VG (for pretty much everything)....i LOVE these things!!
6. 200+ year old porcelain dragon opium pipe purchased in thailand. i just fell in love with this guy...got him the first couple days of a three-week trip and just carried him around with me everywhere i went! i feel like i really "bonded" with this pipe...
7. my trusty vapor bong. i've had it for years and it still cleans up nice! got a gotvape vaporizer bowl and a heat gun for it years ago....seems a little archaic now with "volcanos" and other hi-tech devices for vaping....but i'm a sucker for ritual and using the heat gun with this pipe is like putting on a favorite pair of pajamas for me.. :lol:
SO- i've used used all of these babies except to two antique opium pipes as i'm sure they would just be too harsh... i'm a tidy fellow as i'm sure you've deduced and i like to clean my glass regularly (sometimes after each use!) as i feel that it's part of the "ritual" for me.
...purity of intent....purity of execution....purity of experience...
there's a lot of beautiful pieces out there i'm sure....SO LET THE FUN BEGIN! SHOW ME YOUR GLASS, BABY!!
