I'll be real, I'm not partial to most music, literature, movies, comedy, etc. I'm picky and I'm fine with that because it honors what feels and sits right with me.

These people desperately need your attention. They need other people stuck in shitty jobs looking in at them and wanting to be them. If that sort of life was at all normal these lifestyle influencers would have no one looking in wanting to be them and PAYING them.

It’s often just a bunch of people dancing around putting on a fake show trying to appeal to others.

I used to know a guy from festivals who was making videos of himself from his apartment roof in Canada…in front of a pool etc in the summer and told the internet he was living in Thailand.

They desperately need you.

There are a lot of things I like and dislike l, but I guess there isn’t always the option to like or dislike something when I’m deeply engaged by (or with) it.

I understand what you mean. But that's probably why it's a good idea to choose carefully what to engage deeply with, whenever possible.

What then is care-full-ness of choice if not from a place of awareness

I kinda like it, but I have a very specific liking for kitsch candy style and while they could have gone further I do like the esthetic, music wise I think it’s more of the same thing and relatively bland, as in I would not listen to it but it doesn’t bother me much when it’s on.

On all the opinions on the artist I think don’t judge a book by it’s cover, all media and what is shown is very much an marketing ploy to sell the work, it seldom has much to do with the person performing.

I understand disliking a song. But this girl turns you into hateful goblins. It's visceral. It's not about disliking her music or clothing style.
I think it's about her making you realize how narrow and mentally unfree you are, how inferior you are to her in term of mental peace, freedom, openmindedness, and also wealth, sexyness and much more. So you gotta hate to cope.

This is why I'm giving examples. And we shouldn't judge a book by its cover positively either, for people believe in what she's selling...

I get what you’re saying, but I think the point is that she’s a performer, like an actor. She’s been given a job to promote a certain lifestyle so products tied to that lifestyle can be sold. It’s a kind of dream, by definition. And while I might not agree with everything she says, that’s not really the issue.

I don’t like ads for alcoholic drinks because I don’t support those products. But that doesn’t mean the people in those ads are bad. In her case, she’s probably working with a whole branding team, getting coached, being given talking points it’s all part of the performance. Maybe she has her own opinions, maybe not. But that’s not really what she’s there for.

She’s doing a job. And I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. In fact, she seems to be doing it really well.
