Sodium Carbonate washes & Toluene

I'm not too hot on the chemistry so wanted to ask if anyone knows whether washing a Toluene pull with Sodium Carbonate would, in addition to removing any excess lye, wash out any other alkaloids/oils which are pulled out by the Toluene. Would this effect the experience of the toluene pulled dmt?

Weird - that's the exact experiment that my friend is in the middle of right now.
He'll probably do the wash tomorrow and evap on Friday, I'll let you know how he comes out.

a friend of a friend hypothetically thought of this situation once and there was no problems. always remember toluene is not all that volatile and can be left within your residues, it is advisable to redissolve your residue in another more volatile solvent and re-evaporate.
