Spice Saturated ReX Solvent Expiration Issues

Hello All. I am very new to the forums as you all can see. But have been around for a while. I have a question concerning the RE X solvent. I used Q21 Tek, which is amazing btw, and when i pull i have mostly white crystals left after i decant off naptha. I collect that naptha and put it away for other pulls. After i scrape the crystals off of my dish i collect them and perform a rex. I make a warm bath of water and put a very small amount of naptha in it, 15 mls or so. While its warming i put in my spice, slowly stirring untill it dissolves. Once it dissolves i carefully decant that solvent into a smaller container and put in the freezer leaving the little brown oily sludge in the previous container. After about 12 to 18 hours of precip i take it out of the freezer and decant off the naptha leaving beautiful pure white goodness. The question I have is that, the leftover solvent from the rex i no was still saturated with spice. I know because i blew on it and seen swirls that were white. How long does the spice that is still in the re x solvent able just to sit in there at room temp before a re x is neccessary to prevent them from going bad. Basically how long can spice sit in the solvent at room temp before it goes bad. Any input would be appreciated.

Good question ,, I've herd off other members saying they sometimes keep there dmt in solvent for storage , also I had about 1 ltr of freeze precipe run off after doing a far few ACRB ext with Cybs TEK and with the solvent I did a mini ab on it and after freeze precipertating scraped up over 1 gr of pure white spice , so there is dmt still in that mix just get it out :thumb_up: !

Tru...thanks man...im letting them freeze a full 24 hrs before I pull em out...I swear this 3rd pull looks like a gs n there..more than the previous...big xtals..tom morning ill decant and do a 4th pull...I just am concerned for letting it sit for so long...at the most it will sit for 2 days..if.im good in that time frame, im fine. That also is a.really good idea to store large amounts of spice n sealed containers with a little solvent..food for thought. I can see a lot of benefits here.

Spice is pretty stable even in freebase form. Just make sure your container is airtight (to prevent oxygen availability for oxidation), and in a cold place to prevent melting (refrigerator) since heat speeds up oxidation.

Even after a year, no potency is lost if freebase is stored properly.

what about storing freebase xtals? how would you store those to prevent oxidation? i noticed i left white xtals out over night to dry and they now have slight yellow tint to them. I put them in a construction type paper and then put them in a bag now and tryed to get most of the air out. I didnt like seeing a yellow tinte on them. lol..also i plan on doing a rextal on all of my pulls...i have the 4th in the freezer now..tom when i take them out i plan on doing it then. My question is will the yellow tint come off and be at the bottom of the glass, and after i decant and precip, will the xtals be white again? This is probably the more pressing matter as i am learning as i go. This is probably the last annoyance i am going to deal with.

That's what I just said above: How to store freebase crystals.

You need an opaque and airtight container stored in a cold place.

The best containers are "drug bottles". See the attached photo.


The slight discoloration you got could be either the air (but air only touches the outer layer), or more likely just plant oils that dissolved and colored it slightly. Either way, the color doesn't matter. Heck, even DMT-Oxide is psychoactive.

As long as you now properly store your freebase crystal stash, you'll be okay for at least a whole year. Probably much longer (but nobody usually keeps things that long so I don't know of anyone who kept it longer than a year, hehe).

Hey bro...just another question probably the same answer...is it illogical to think that if I took a precip out and it was still cloudy, then filtered, and put back in the bark to do another pull that that dmt from the precip that wasnt done will come out in the.next precip with this pull?...I thinm it will b fine, just wanted somebody elses opinion

Yes. Solvent is still solvent even when cold, and will still contain DMT that wasn't released during the freezing.

So yes, re-using the same solvent means it will become saturated with *even more* DMT, and that saturation causes the "old" DMT to fall out too.

I suggest re-using the same solvent 3-6 times. When it finally seems poor at sucking up new DMT you'll know that it's "spent" and is too full of oils and crap (and unreleased DMT) that it's unable to contain more new DMT. At that point it's time to evaporate it, so that you can release the final DMT trapped within it.
