mang is slang for man. I guess it comes from the cuban/dominican/p.r. pronunciation of "man"; it's also uttered throughout the south, at least in houston.


some guy's macac just started up some jars of texas-strain cubes from a year-old syringe. any doubts that it would still be viable went out the window; there's white growth in seven of eight jars, five days after innoculation. the critter is using rye flour as a substrate.
 
If you believe that tiny bottle, then yes. But it is probably either depleted or one of the less radio-active isotopes. Actually, the uranium the use in nuclear bombs(uranium 238 ) isn't THAT radioactive. It can be handled for small periods of time with no harm. But plutonium on the other hand, the stuff they use for fussion bombs, that'll harm you rather quickly unless you take the proper precautions.
