Whenever one of these bans come about, I imagine it happens something like "Sir! There's a buch of new chemicals for sale and people are enjoying them!" "BAN IT! BAN IT IMMEDIATLY!"

In 2010 there 42 new designer drugs released onto the market. I remember reading in a news article that 3 months ago already 53 new designer drugs have been discovered in 2011. The market for designer drugs is gaining momentum as they realize that governments cannot ban the chemicals fast enough. The result? A flood of new drugs that are untested and unsafe and have a high probability of inflicting harm on the user. Banning more of these chemicals will only worsen the problem, not solve it.

No, society is trying to protect itself from the altered consciousness, because when someone truly understands these different drugs its like whoa wtf I don't NEED a government, I dont NEED a representative, it shatters the fallacies that society builds and conforms us by. You are able to break free of those chains, and by doing that you are essentially removing yourself from the "matrix" or the "game" they have setup for us all to play. I'd love to think the ban was based on objective facts and a scientific study of the harms involved in each of these, but I think it more likely they want you to spend the money on alcohol so that they can tax it and the last thing they want is people with their minds opened by drugs questioning the status quo.

Oh def, 100%. The government(s) are depending on us to continue running the rat race, they need us, they want us, they rely on us. Without our hard labor, devotion and time they would have nothing, because there would be no one to leach from. But, WE ALL have been asleep, blindly accepting this, blindly allowing these leaches to drain us of our rights and freedoms. They suppress us and brainwash us so that they can keep up where we are now, and keep themselves at the top. The whole thing, all of it, it's one big giant mind fuck to keep the system perpetuating. I used to be so into America and such a patriot and thought the government was there to help us and cradle us like a baby... Because I allowed myself to get consumed by the media, by the external world. I allowed them to come into my home, allowed them control me. What they hope to happen:
People will stop using these substances and be proper-citizens, keep quiet and get drunk every night like "god" intended

What will happen:
People will get them shipped discretely from nearby countries or buy them off dealers illegally and the swiss chemists have a hayday adding a single molecule or just moving one around and creating different but almost the same chemicals that will be likely much more dangerous than the chemicals they are banning.

It's probably good that the JWH's were banned Imo. That stuff MELTS YOUR BRAIN! or at least that's what it feels like. I OD'd on JWH18 and at the same time had food poisoning while in the middle of nowhere so if there was no way anyone could have helped me and my friend who was also ODing at the time so there was no way we could have driven for help. It was probably the worst experience of my entire life. Puking for 4 hours straight while I had pretty much no control over my muscle functions. I just sat in a camp chair around a fire puking and yelling "FUCK RESEARCH CHEMICALS!". I'll never touch the stuff again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
