Syrian Rue tea and a couple vape puffs

A later post in the same thread as the last one mentioned in the previous post also highlights a point of possible relevance:

Do you think harmalacidine holds any pertinence towards the discussion regarding whole harmala brews versus extracts?
Given the range of Harmala compunds in Rue and their varying solubility in extractions, it would seem to support eating the seeds or drinking the ground seeds swished into a liquid to be the way if one wanted full spectrum effects.

It obviously depends on ones aims ie if one wants mainly MAOI effects for enhancing or activiting DMT, or if one wanted the full Harmala effects in themselves either on their own or in conjunction with DMT or another substance. There has even been discussion of roasted Harmala seed brews which are Harmine rich and devoid of Harmaline and taste nicer, so maybe we need to consider the world of Rue consumption and extractions and preparations is vaster than previously thought given the range of compounds in this mysterious sacred plant.

Thinking about it a bit more, give the low solubility of harmalacidine, I'd expect the bioavailability to be shockingly poor. It appears to be something of a terra nullis, pharmacologically speaking. It's also set me wondering about the properties of 6-MeO-T, as well as the 6-OH-T mentioned in the paper that @downwardsfromzero attached in that other thread. From what I recall, 6-MeO-DMT is generally regarded as inactive but it makes me wonder if it has ever been combined with harmalas. The 7-substituted betacarbolines - being the equivalents of 6-substituted tryptamines after their own fashion - have some kind of notable action at serotonergic receptors, so it seems to be but a small logical step to ask what 6-substituted tryptamines might be able to be coaxed into doing.
