I had the coolest fantasy for an animated short last night, in classic Heavy Metal style ...
Mise en scene: The Oakland police are getting ready to go, just before the predawn raid on the Occupy Oakland encampment. They are massed together wherever those kind of guys hang out before a raid, when suddenly---
<flashbang!> A bright blue-white flash with smoke & stuff; and before anybody has time to fire their guns --
down from a rappel rope directly above** comes a ridiculously sexy punk chick looking like Wendy O. Williams, only with a little more clothes on. Bleached blonde mohawk, leather everything, garters, boots, etc.
Instantly she thrusts out one arm with palm facing out and says, "Freeze!"
All the cops are breathing and blinking, but apparently unable to move. They are in various defensive positions with guns drawn: Standing, on one knee, that two-handed police firing posture, and like that.
The punk chick walks up and down the row of cops slowly, boots making that cool boot sound, hips swaying. There are a lot of spaghetti-western-type closeups of eyes, tense lips, foreheads beaded with sweat ...
Then, with a snappy flourish, she produces from thin air a bouquet of flowers. She walks up to each gun, one by one, and puts a flower down the barrel. She puts the last flower between her teeth, jumps up to the rope, climbs, and is gone.
The camera stays on the end of the rope for a few moments as its wiggling stops; then we hear off camera, "Oh!"
The chick's hand re-enters the scene from above, makes a gesture, and we hear her say, "GO!" The hand withdraws upwards.
Cut back to the police officers stirring around in confusion, looking at each other like, WTF?
**later we can pan up to see that the rappel rope is attached to nothing, like an "Indian Rope Trick." Say, after "freeze," but before the flowers appear.
