"The business man's trip"

Migrated topic.
If it was, my bad. I guess I should have done my research first. Although I wouldn't know what to search for anyway. Oh well:)

I'm not too worried about our trips being recuperated in commercials. What gets me is when I see commercials inside my trips :)

I've always wondered about commercials making it seem like you took some kind of psychedelic when you drink product xy or drive in the car so and so... It seems like they are playing on the desire to alter consciousness very deliberately while prohibiting it and frowning down upon it in reality. It's so strange to me that both of these directions are widely accepted and the general consensus world doesn't question it one way or the other.

But yeah, stop watching tv. Stop looking at the adds that are posted ubiquitously on your way to work, or wherever. Because you know, when you put on the magic sun glasses you will see what is really behind all of this:

I already see potential in hallucinogenic drugs that make you see commercials as part of the trip.

Just like some youtube videos now have commercials in the beginning.

Well, I've had it happen in different ways, on different substances. Mostly on k+nitrous, but also recently on my first salvia trip. They were never ads for products I know, but some kind of futuristic trans-dimensional ad for a product I don't really understand. I'm not one to carry strange beliefs, but in those moments I did smile at the idea of some strange psychedelic economy. Ultimately though, it probably has more to do with things stored in my mind - the ad "format" as a means of expression, as something one may access when ones "tunes into" a reality, a channel, etc. That's also how it annoys me a bit, it confirms how profoundly the publicity thing is engrained. It's also quite funny though. When I see an ad in my trip, it probably means I'm having a lot of fun :)
