Migrated topic.
Thanks tbh I'd not tried to strip it down ill give it a go and see how i get on , you mentioned in another post that you'd struggled with it in tcss mode ? What mod box are you using and wattage settings please im still tinkering settings
I was using Geekvape Legend 3, the same one I used with the original Profile. Now I'm using the Legend 5 but I've not tried it on TC mode. I think the Legend 5 has that stainless steel bug so it took me a while to get the wattage right.

I'm not very experienced with this sort of vape gear so my struggling with TC mode may well be down to me. Also I didn't clean the contacts before trying TC mode or anything like that.

Im considering removing the post part now and jist taping up the holes with some electrical tape then just cut open whats needed maybe a bit crude but I feel the extra load space is worth it imo
I bet you could use that silicone band that comes with it to cover some of the holes. I think though that having those thick vent parts directing air over the mesh will help it vape evenly. It wouldn't be very difficult to remove the posts. A vice, a hacksaw and file should do it. You could make the bottom of the insert flat. Then you could put the insert in any way you wanted. You wouldn't be able to adjust the airflow by twisting anymore but you could just insert it into the lid in the position you wanted.

I did have a quick look yes you could remove the posts but that section of the air holes would still be in the way , also can't twist it as I see as it slots into the base , im pretty new to this style of vaping too . I managed to get a geek vape solo original as had read the chipset is pretty reliable on tc mode , it seems whichever way you go there's some tweaking thats needed , hope you manage to get it dialed in

You'd have to remove the lumps too and make the bottom of it totally flat. Then it wouldn't slot into the base anymore so you could have it at any orientation with nothing protruding to stop you. But then when you twisted the lid the insert would twist with it and so you couldn't adjust airflow that way. You'd be removing the parts that keep the insert in place when you twist the lid to adjust airflow.
