Ok so for the last couple days I have been searching and reading and learning and I have hit a wall. I've googled every combination of words I can think of, also searched the nexus extensively.
I cannot find anything close to an MSDS sheet for Mrs. Wages Pickling Lime. NOW, before you go on about what I should do hear me out. I need an answer to this question or my brains gonna explode. (Mrs. Wages is not an option for me)
Are they the same?
Hi-Yield Horticultural Hydrated Lime
Mrs. Wages Pickling Lime
Now HERE is the MSDS for the Hi-Yield brand.
And if you read HERE, this is as close as I can find to an MSDS sheet for food grade lime.
I cannot find an MSDS for mrs. wages, maybe thats all I need. Anyone link me to it?
Here are two threads with which this question has been asked with no answer... ONE and TWO
The Hi-Yield contains:
Calcium Hydroxide 100% (this is what we want)
Calcium Oxide 71.32% (same as above without water)
Silicon Dioxide 1% (can this come over during the pull? I dont think it does)
Carbon Dioxide 1.04%
Trace Elements 2.48% (???)
My assumption is that this has basically the same composition as pickling lime and is safe to use. This stuff is way more abundant than mrs wages, and I think this would be helpful to know.
