What was really going on underground was LCOB from Philadelphia. It's hip hop and been listening to them for awhile when I was younger until they changed their whole vibe from what happened in '01. Lost interest, but heard of their new album coming out. Wouldn't really recommend it for taking a seat down and puffing on some spice but it's truly poetry. I'd account the discussion of big beat taking away from the trance. Take a look if you're interested or have heard them before:
