the machine usage problems

I have never smoked dmt before only used ayahuasca. I build myself the machine, but I used some solder to fixate the coppersponge. I used it as instructed but nothing happens it only tastes like burned rubber & lighter. Is that due to ther solder or can it be something else?

Solder contains certain oils that get released when you heat it up and are toxic. I certainly wouldn't use it in a smoking device.

Doesn't the wool stay put if you just put enough in? If you use enough it shouldn't fall it out that easy.

Oh I see that's the strange taste then, nah was just an idea so it would be more fixated. Exchanged it now but I'll test it tomorrow.
