I don't even know what to say apart from just "wow"... The genius involved in coming up with this concept and perfecting it to the point we can see the things that make up our universe with our naked eye is just...breathtaking.
It always fascinates me when some genius comes up with an idea that at first appears ludicrous and absolutely impossible, but then turns out to work brilliantly and opens a completely new chapter in our sciences. The decades it took these scientists to perfect the technology and solve what seemed like an unsolvable problem is so inspiring to me.
Perhaps in the future we will be able to take photos of the inner world of the atom as well. What a time to be alive...
