A few days ago, i heard am interview on the radio with a women who had lived in south-africa for many years. She said that only since she had moved to europe, she started to realize how messed-up south africa realy is, since many local media in south africa don't pay much attention to issues like internal ethnic tensions (or ethnic tensions related to migration). I know there are places in south africa that are just like europe or america, but there is also that other part.Phlux- said:Just so u know - i live in south africa - it seems most ppl have a completely skew perception of what it is like over here.

Infinite I said:Theres no need to be so condescending. Everythings a distraction from the evil NWO according to most people into conspiracy theorys. Someone said the opening game symbolised the oil spill as south africa had the colours of BP and mexico had the color black to represent the oil. People were also saying when englands goal was scored it was created by occultic santanists because of the time the goal was scored, this is how ridiculous conspiracy folks get.
really theres not much you as an individual can do about the evil in the world. People need to wake up en masse, like polytrip was talking about with the elections in his country, ignorance seems to be the rule, what you going to do about it? Do you do anything? I will be enjoying this world cup its bloody great and so will most football fans, seems to be the ones doing all the hating are the ones who dont even like football anyway

One could look at the ghetto's in america and the warlord ex-prezident and create an opinion based on that.
Or they could look at the great lakes of america, yellowstone park and the indidgenous ppl's rock art and decide its a lovely place.
Living in south africa - and having traveled south africa extensively, overall its a lovely place with a few dark patches just like any country.

Thank you for opening our eyes. I will not watch the world cup, you can leave now.
I was in no way being condescending, I was being honest. I sincerely hope that people enjoy the soccer if that interests you. It is a distraction and with all the stuff going on, it is good to take your mind off it for a time. You are reading intent into my words that was not there.
Where did I mention anything about conspiracies? I just told people to be aware, and pointed out that the problems that existed in South Africa before the world cup will still be there and probably worse once the world cup is over...it is rainbow with a pot of shit at either end. This benefits very few if any of the South Africans who truly need help aside from a distraction from the drudgery of everyday life for a time. Thats just the way it is. It is the truth, you can accept it or not, but there is nothing conspiratorial about it.
Do you honestly believe this? That there is nothing you as an individual can do? How wrong you are, and if you hold onto that belief then the change you want to see in the world will never occur. You must BE the change you want to see in the world, otherwise it will never happen. I do plenty of things...I donate my time to chairitible causes (SPCA, Outdoor Trail Maintenance, Beach Clean-ups, Retirement Communities), I donate my money to helping others who need it. I talk to people with the intent to help wake them from the slumber of ignorance that pervades society. I do what I can, and if I can help just one person a week, then I have been successful in changing the world, one person at a time.
What do you do? From your statement that an individual cannot change the evil in the world I would assume nothing...and if you put out nothing, you get nothing back. The world then is just as you want it to be, and you are powerless because you believe you have no power to affect change.
Enjoy the world cup, I never said not too. I am a fan of football, played it from the age of 6 to 18. The US is my home country so I am rooting for them, and my second choice is always for the home team. Wink
anyways mon the world cup, I love it!
:lol:Phlux- said:name 1 civil war with ref's from za.
Infinite I said:When you said continue with your distraction it seemed pretty condescending to me, if not fair enough.
Everyone who is into conpiracies says everythings just one big distraction from the wars in the world to the violation of our civil liberties, seems to be their usual spiel. Everything of entertainment value must be a distraction then. Ive seen your posts before and I thought you were into conspiracy theorys, then you say the distraction bit so...
Theres nothing I as an individual can do to stop the war in Iraq and afghanistan, millions tried that and it didnt make one bit of difference so now I try not to get so angry about things which im obviously powerless to stop. I used to do voluntary work and I work with adults with learning difficulties so I help people that need it every day in my work. I try to wake people up the way you do also and you might think im a bit crazy but I make something called orgonite, its used to neautralise the electro magnetic radiation from mobile phone masts, swear some negatvie entitys werent happy that I was doing it, but I was smoking dmt so people will think im crazy lol
Anyways I just dont think I as an individual can stop the NWO or stop the wars or pollution of the planet, sure I can plant trees and help people but its not going to change the world cup going ahead or the wars stopping aroung the world so now I dont get so wound up about things and enjoy life and psychedelicsanyways mon the world cup, I love it!
