Tips on Becoming More Mature

I want to ask you to share tips here on how to be more mature. Surely I don't think losing a childlike imagination is required to be considered "mature", and how misused that word is in our culture, well certain mainstream cultures.

I keep finding myself using slang and saying things that I feel are socially out of place (behind a screen and anonymous does not really help me be more mature I find) or hopefully not offensive to others.

Grateful I encountered this forum. Kind of shows me how I lack maturity when I approach internet platforms but not being mature offline isn't helping me adjust here.

Perhaps I answered my own question there. Become more mature offline before being more active here.
