I came across this quote in my copy of PIHKAL (Page 32):
Does anyone know the feasibility of Shulgin's musings? He doesn't mention it anywhere else.
Nutmeg contains both myristicin and elemicin in quantity. Perhaps in a place where it was legal one could mix together ammonia and nutmeg, then do an A/B to extract the newly formed alkaloids?
IF one could stir simple household ammonia into elemicin to convert it to the strange and challenging psychedelic TMA (at least in theory), then a similar stirring of ammonia into myristicin should give rise to the unknown base, 3-methoxy-4,5-methylenedioxyamphetamine.
