Hi everyone, just wanted to take a minute to say this community is pretty amazing, ive learned so much from sifting through everything. So thank you to everyone thats posted helpful information here. If this question has been answered already I apologize but I couldn't find an answer.
I did my third pull today following Gordo tek for my first extraction. The first pull went pretty smoothly and yielded about 400mgs spice. The second I ran into an issue of the MHRB absorbing alot of solvent, I had to really squeeze the mix to get some solvent out. I ended up with probably 30% of the solvent I started with, did a shorter evap because of how little solvent. The yield was terrible, 99mgs and pretty yellow. For the third pull I took my bark mix and added about 70-80mls warm water to loosen it up then slowly added more base to get the right consistency. after adding the base there was some liquid floating around that wasnt being absorbed, im assuming this is solvent that was released. any way, continued with my pull as normal, strained off the solvent, and let some evap before going into the freezer.
The solvent has been in the freezer for about 4 or 5 hours now. I can see a decent amount of crystals already, but there seems to be alot of solvent. I dont think I evaporated long enough before FP. There are what appear to be a ton of tinny crystals floating in the solvent, is there anything I can do about this? Should I just keep it in the freezer for 24 hrs and then see what it looks like? Is it possible to take the dish out of the freezer, reheat the dish to have some of the solvent evap then FP again? Should I pour off the extra solvent, reheat that to evap then do a second FP with it? Should I just pour it off and use it for my last pull? Are all of these viable solutions?
Sorry again if this has already been covered somewhere, but I couldn't find it. Thanks in advanced for any information.
