Totally confused by extraction ratio for liquid caapi

Migrated topic.

Obviously I didn't do to well in chemistry in high-school

I got as a Christmas gift extracted liquid cielo vine.
It says "10 ml = 100 grams of extracted fresh vine"
What does that mean??? Totally stumped by this !

How many ml (approx.) of this would be equivalent for a moderate single dose?

Fresh vine is like when harvested, full of water, and when drying then the weight reduces to 25 - 33 % of the fresh vine weight.

Say you go for 50 gr dry vine on a cup, then this represents 150 to 200 gr of fresh vine.
That means 15 to 20 ml of that liquid.

Of course there are the unknown variables:
how well did they boil the wood to make the liquid?
potency of used vine?
did they chop brute lodges of finely shredded the wood?
...

So it's still a trial method to follow, but you have a clue.

Best explanation EVER!!!

Wish my chemistry was this clear and straight forward.

Setting aside all the variables, 50g of fresh vine (15ml - 20ml) represents a medium dose of the MAO?

50 gr of DRY :d vine is considered a standard (15 to 20 ml of yours yes),
but hey I can have a good meditation on 10 gr too (that's not a ceremonial dose to deeply inhibit mao of course).

People react very differently to this stuff, you must find your own dance with it after all.

Brilliant!!! Thank you!

Indeed, I find the caapi extract has this beautiful heartful meditation space.

Several days ago I added 4g of mimosa ... not knowing how strong the inner bark of the mimosa was.
It went KABOOOM :))

Off course it does 😁
As you learn further how to explode in grace and dignity things will call you.
I ceiled out at 7 mimo, but only after year(s) of slowly stepping up.
One becomes more sensitive after all!
For me it's not all about the explosion itself but what could be done in the field of perception during, and bringing that back. Doesn't always work out, but close enough.

completely agree
usually i depend on others to provide the sacred brew
now i'm learning to prepare my own
I have been doing low doses in meditation (dzogchen, vajrayana) for a year
and slowly intensifying to do the sacred healing in the clear open space of consciousness
