Hello folks,

Been doing a lot of readings and research to find the perfect brew e methods to prepare Ayahuasca brew at home. This is gonna be my first time. [MOD edit: no sourcing talk, please!] I would like to use Banisteriopsis caapi and Chacruna (Psychotria viridis) where each gram contains 10mg/g of DMT. Can anyone suggest a good percentage in grams with water quantities also? I of course want to start low and then higher up the dose if needed in the future but not sure where to start. I would also appreciate any suggestion in brewing methods ( if ok to brew together or best to have them separate). Thank you for the help

Dried caapi is notoriously impractical for home brewing. You need 50-100 g per dose for sufficient maoi, and a lot of water with multiple washes to cook it. Id aim for 25ml destilled water per gram of caapi. Then ideally you should make big batches to dose test and get consistent know doses. You’d need big pots and multiple boils.

Lets say you boil 10 doses to be able to test it and determine consistent dose. Thats 25 liters of unreduced brew….

That’s why most of us stick with syrian rue for maoi, which is very easy to brew.

So you can use Syrian rue to mix with p. Viridis to make an Ayahuasca brew? I have the p. Viridis plant growing, so I just take the leaves and then what?
