Trying to improve Acacia information

A. pycnantha is widely planted, around the world..
there is at least one known fairly high yielding DMT result, and S. Voogelbreinder (2009) got small amounts from phyllodes..
here's the Australian Governor-General on Wattle Day (Sept. 1st) with A. baileyana..
and below, a very healthy park planted A. pycnantha..

Sorry for the delayed reply, I've been rather busy. Unfortunately, the a.victoriae root bark did not yield a visible result, though that could be due to the tree itself. I have about 150g worth of phyllodes that have been sitting in acetate water for about 3 weeks now and will finally get around to finishing the experiment over the coming days. I will also try RB and phyllodes from other specimens over the coming weeks to see if at least one yields a solid result. Both the thin and fat phyllode a.victoriae variations grow out here, so there could possibly be a difference from trying the fat phyllode variation - have only tried the thin phyllode variation so far.
Still plan to test the other local species that are yet to be tested, will just take a bit more time then I had previously thought it would.
These acacia information were scanned from a botanical book using my almost dead old scanner :lol: . It includes valuable information about acacias (Mainly in Africa). Acacias described are:

Been a while since extracting due to a broken collarbone, but i'm nearly to the point where i can use my arm again, while that i have been stocking up on supply , So my next extract will be on Acacia Floribunda Phyllodes and Leaf seperate, i was reading about people oven drying so it lead me thinking, this may sound like a stupid question but are you meant to dry the plant matter until it is cracker dry(no green left)?.....I have just been drying it until it is snappable with fingers....cheers!

Snappables fine I think, good luck and remember to remember what time of year and day you harvested at and the previous rainfall!
Is it from the bush or urban/semi-urban environment? My hunch is urban evironments arent conducive for acacia to produce dmt.
Another couple of questions , has anyone known of an implexa-pycantha hybrid? I thought I saw one earlier, the smooth trunk bark of pycantha and the red stems but the sickle shaped hook phyllodes of implexa, will post a photo soon.
Are there any known actives in the NT or NW Aus? Broome - Kimberleys region? I imagine there must be..

Cheers for the reply! and yes all the acacias i harvest from are just around the corner off me it is a bicycle/jogging track that leads into a bush area.

well the thing is i didn't have much knowledge with identifying back then so i harvested acacia longifolia and acacia mucronata. var longifolia at the same time thinkin their both Longifolias, with 100gram leaf extraction i yielded what looked like atleast 300mg-400mg but was hard to tell because it was orange oil/goo with crystals but when scraped it was like the oil just ate up the crystals, didn't bother weighing it up and i'm fairly positive the oil/goo was NMT or some other Tryptamine, with no doubt it had DMT because of the scent and the smell of smoke.
I will be experimenting with both again but only this time not make the mistake and doing them seperate.
*EDIT* and with the successful extraction i remeber not acidifying the second acid cook, dont know if it helped though and another thing that interested me is after this extraction i attempted another with the leftovers but was left with the same thing exept it had no visuals and instead turned into some sort of black goop when scraped (what lays behind that?) maybe contaminants? i don't know

Ok, so I got around to finishing the experiment on a.victoriae phyllodes.
I had to separate the basified mix into two jars.
I added about 100ml Naphtha - per pull - to the larger jar (900ml jar (forgot about the smaller jar until the next day)) and let it sit overnight. Pulled naphtha next day and popped it in the freezer. After 24 hours I noticed that about half the volume of naphtha had turned to a white ice like structure that was suspended in the naphtha. Unfortunately it was about a 30m walk, during the day, to where I was to pour the naphtha through a coffee filer - in hindsight not a smart idea as the "ice" structure had melted back into the solution by the time I got inside.
The inside of the jar was coated with a white film like structure that I left to air dry and the coffee filter had a white hue to it, though wasn't able to scrape anything from it.
I then combined the next 3 pulls from the larger jar, with three pulls from the smaller jar - all pulls were done over the next 24 hours. I then left the naphtha to evaporate, instead of freeze precip. Two days later I scraped up the yellow crystal residue, which netted just under 800mg of yellow waxy powder.
I am yet to try it, I have 50g of syrian rue seeds coming in the mail, so I might try and ingest some with harmala, and try vape some with and without harmala to see how much DMT is actually contained in the mix - being phyllodes it could be mostly fats and oils.
I Also have some powdered/shredded bark sitting in a vinegar solution that I plan to leave for another week or two and try with that, that way there should be much less fats and oils.

Do yellow dead phyllodes/leaves retain alkaloids, after constant rain? Suspected pycantha or saligna..
Also, what are the green balls present now on a.longifolia subsp.longifolia while seeding?

Dreamtripper, those green hard balls? I opened up once by digging bits out and I found larvae maggots crawling inside little holes inside the ball and theres more than one inside.
If the Bark\Phyllodes of an Acacia have no bitter taste,
is that a direct indication that there is no reasonable ammounts of Dmt\Alkaloids in it ?
Are there Acacia's that don't taste very bitter & still contain good ammounts of dmt ?
Reason being, some A. Victoriae trunk\branch bark was harvested (from a freshly fallen tree) dried\grinded & is soaking in a Vinegar\Water solution, but it does not taste bitter...
A. Victoriae IS on the list of confirmed species list on page #1, post #12 of this thread.
And was harvested after dry weather & was not flowering\seeding.
I estimate that the tree fell down about 4-5 days before harvesting & drying... (the inner bark was still red & sappy...)
Should the extraction still be completed to find out ?
