Uncooked crudo ayahuasca

Hello Friends,

I was in Colombia and tried a uncooked "crudo" Ayahuasca. It is a brew that isn't cooked that much and is very clear. The taste is way better than usual. The effect was still strong.

Does anyone has expericen with preparing a drink like this? I liked it a lot and would like to do it on my own because the taste was comparably good.

Thanks brothers and sisters. :)

So, was it cooked or not? 😂
The prospect of a CWE ayahuasca is certainly appealing enough, if one has a safe water supply. I don't recall having seen mention of a chacruna CWE here, but we'll have to see what the others say.

And, welcome to (posting at) the Nexus!

I don't know if it wasn't cooked or a little but cooked. I was just confused as I got it but I was already on Ayahuasca because it was the second cup.

Maybe it's worth it to try a CWE with Chacruna or Chaliponga when I'm back at home. I'm curious. If someone has tried this please tell us. :)

It works with mimosa, it's likely to work well with chacruna and chaliponga
For this, it may be worth considering something like The Herbal Percolator, or a cold-brew coffee set-up. With this you could have something that's both cooked and uncooked - percolate cold, then simmer gently to reduce volume.

I don't know, but most likely. You get harmala nausea and a lot of liquid in your belly, so the result is kind of obvious. They drink liters of that diluted stuff.
I think the idea is to clear your system for the evening's aya. You get some MAOI action going too.
Aya's taste depends heavily on the vine. If you cook something from deep in the jungle in a kind of swampy area, it will be much more vile.

Ah, so caapi has its terroir too! Or should that be terror? 😁

Every vine is different. I've had ayahuasca that would just clean you from every hole without many visions, but with the most profound changes in your energy body. Some vines have a very clean profile and produce real gourmet brews with almost no body load. The same applies to Syrian Rue, and I would prefer seeds from Iran over any other that I have tried so far. These plants are a part of the natural environment, and it shows.

This is something I would like to try. I drink ayahuasca quite thick (30 ml per cup) and it always seemed to be too concentrated. Not due to bad taste, it's still better than mushroom tea (at least most of them).

Aren't harmalas too poorly soluble for CWE?

It doesn't look like they are. @Sakkadelic and I have been experimenting with it (mostly him), and there may be a tek posted soon.
Yes things do look promising, the initial results show that it's possible to get about 60% of the harmalas on the first soak of ground rue seeds, and the majority of the harmalas can be pulled with more soaks. It's very appealing as there is no smelly boiling or messy filtering.

Do you have a write-up for the CWE harmala process? I've searched and didn't find anything specifically relating to your figures here.

I took some notes but didn't post it yet, it's a work in progress, I want to perform it again with some modifications to increase yield in first pulls, and @blig-blug is performing another variation. Perhaps I should post the first experiment to get feedback before we make it into a tek.
