Vanishing crystals

I remove the glass from the freezer brimming with crystal. I pour off the solvent, and wait for the rest to evaporate. But the glass is cold, and the temps warm and humid. Water condenses on the surfaces of the container, and on the product. Within a half hour nothing remains in the container. Do I need to cool it down more slowly— like in the fridge? Is the water from the atmosphere melting the crystal? Should I just pour the solvent back in and freeze again?

The crystals, if they are freebase DMT, should not significantly dissolve in water. they can get washed out by condensation though.

If any water gets in to your solvent during freezing (possibly from condensation dripping in it ) then it can form lots of blob like crystals that can look like a lot of DMT, but aren't. However each will probably have a seed crystal of DMT inside it.

Pictures of what it looks like fresh out of the freezer will help us diagnose the problem.

what i read and see works drip dry it qucikly pour the napha out then then pop it back in the freezer with like a shot glass holding one side up on like some brown paper bags to soak up the drippings
then after 30mins take out and do the same in the fridge and add a small battery fan if you have one available for a hour then take out the fridge and do same with fan outside the fridge and should help alot

We're starting to suspect atmospheric CO₂ is acidifying the condensation and causing the crystals to dissolve more readily, if they weren't simply ice crystals in the first place, of course.

More optimally, the crystals would be grown in a container that has an airtight seal, which can then be drained, resealed and inverted before returning it to the freezer to drain off into its lid. That way, you can avoid having naphtha-soaked paper hanging around in your freezer, as well as the lid keeping stray water vapour from creeping into the vessel quite as much.
