SWIM's machine is a 750ml glass Jim Beam liquor bottle with a 3/8" hole bored into the bottom. SWIM has only tried it twice, both times lining the inside of the cap with tin foil... putting the DMT in the tinfoil, then loosely screwing the cap onto the bottle. Then SWIM slowly vaporizes what he thinks is all of of the DMT (hard to see in there), then quickly removes the cap and takes it all in with one hit. No effects, other than feeling a little funny.

Also running out of DMT with all these failed attempts. SWIM will have to do another extraction soon if this keeps up.
That's definitely not the machine, though SWIM did the exact same thing the first time he tried it, it's a little confusing.
SWIM knows what you mean, he had lots of troubles before he used the machine, now the only trouble he has is making sure he doesn't go too far
So what your friend needs to do is remove the cap of the bottle completely and only put it on AFTER smoking.
Get a pack of copper scrubbers. The grocery store or dollar store.
Roll a copper-mesh ball with your hands, one that is just big enough to fit inside the end of the bottle.
SWIM has found that if it is tigher packed then it works better, but it doesn't have to be a solid lump.
Now burn the ball ALL OVER until you no longer get any smoke off of it.
SWIM props it on the end of a safety pin and uses a candle because it doesn't waste lighter fuel.
Once you have your ball then stuff it into the neck of the bottle.
Sprinkle a measured amount of spice onto the copper ball.
Next melt the spice onto the ball with a lighter, as long as it doesn't smoke then there is no loss.
Now invert the bottle and get ready to toke. It's best to toke just like from a bong, constantly
Now hold the lighter and 1-3 inches below the ball as you toke.
Get ready to drop the bottle or pass it, it comes on quick!
You don't have to be TOO careful, it takes a long time with the flame directly on the copper to make it too hot to touch and DMT can survive in too-hot-to-touch places just fine. Just toke and don't worry too much about burning it.
It is not so much that DMT is very unstable, it is more that any sealed container destroys DMT quickly.
If your spice is nice then the device will entice, haha

Your spice vapor will only recondense inside your smoking device and you'll hardly get any effect.
Try my friend's method or get at least any more suitable smoking device (a lot smaller!)
SWIM tried to use a glass soda bottle (355ml) and it was pretty tricky. Tt was hard to aim the lighter, that's all.
It likely won't re-condense too much though, SWIM has let a cloudy vapor sit in his 500ml bubbler with ~200ml of cold water and it took over 10 minutes for the smoke to condense!
