Views on Charlie Sheen

Migrated topic.

Rising Star
So this morning, i saw his interview on ABC:

i have never been his fan or really watched his movies with much interest, but this side of him is quiet.... understandable, makes me wanna empathize.
Kinda reminds me of how things changed for me after DMT. Especially when the world wont undertand what went on in that darkness/silence.
Interested to hear your views.

I think it just goes to show how much news interviews try to create a bias by confusing the interviewee; charlie sheen just dodges it left & right I love it. I do agree it seems like hes crazy in the sense that he appears like he's all over the place but like he stated in the interview his mind just "GOES" and its understand able to not to learn social behaviors when your minds worrying about bigger and higher things other then being worried about being labeled as a druggie, insane, bi-polar, not-human, an animal, etc, etc

I haven't watched the interview you posted, but there was a HILARIOUS article in the paper recently that had some killer quotes. It's on my fridge. My favorite Charlie Sheen quote from it:

"I'm on a drug. It's called Charlie Sheen. It's not available because if you try it you will die. Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body."

Last time gas prices skyrocketed it took a backseat to news stories about MJ's death...

This time gas prices skyrocketed, Charlie Sheen goes nuts and again, oil/gas-price stories are nowhere to be found...

Probably coincidence...but it highlights the side-show the corporate "news" media likes to put on.

Personally, I'm digging his quotes, they crack me up, I'm just not sure how this qualifies as news to the point where it has the absurd amount of coverage that it does.

I think Charlie is going to die if he doesn't get treatment. I believe his alcoholism has completely consumed him. I just hope he gets sober before he kills himself or someone else.

The guy is going over the edge. He looks close to crazy to me. I've never scene him like this. I think he has partied hard his whole life, but it is taking it's toll. He better slow down or he may be gone soon.

Nice thread.
I heard Sheen on Howard Stern a few days ago. Howard was expecting to hear the crazy, Gary Busey-esque rantings, but Charlie came off as someone who has a legitimate beef against CBS. It was great to hear Howard's rapid fire questions and to hear Charlie's equally rapid (and eloquent) answers. Charlie is all about "winning" and the eye of the tiger (and Adonis DNA :) ) I say, go for it, Charlie Sheen. Just don't end up killing yourself.

abusive personality. children just removed from his house. tirades and threats against those close to him.

Things getting worse rapidly. How does someone like this turn his life around?

I doubt very much he is interested in exploring the nature of his consciousness right now, via the methods and tools we here are attracted to. He may need to hit bottom first, or perhaps his father, a man evidently of some faith, may intervene.

The lesson for all of us from the Lindsays and the Brittanys and the Charlies (and now the Christinas and even the Mileys!) is that top-of-the-world fame and fortune may very well corrupt those who are not even weak to begin with. But if you are weak to begin with - and Hollywood is littered with those bodies - you have little or no chance once you go down that road.

And when this prince William or whatever got married to some tramp it was portrayed in the global media as the most important event of the year/decade. They really try to dumb you down.

While I do view the Sheen debacle as a weapon of mass distraction while the middle east rages. I also see how a lot of you view his actions as admirable, but I do not. I do not wish to curb his lifestyle nor judge what he does it is his life.
When a star signs on to do a show he has a responsibility. He was making 1.5 mil a week for what 26 weeks (shows) so 39 million for 6 months work memorizing and repeating lines. He is a bankable star i dont hate him for making his money but he did sign the contract and cash the checks. To fault the network because they make huge profits is silly. His agent did a bad job getting him a piece of the action if thats his gripe.

What I think sucks if you are the "star" of a show you should remember that 300 people from teamsters to editors rely on the paycheck to feed their families. While snorting 3 lbs of coke a night with pornstars is really super cool (sarcasm) there are 300 families who need work and without show have none. They make good money but if fired can go unemployed for a while in hollywood.

Also there are 23 month old twins who are without a father. I believe in personal freedom but he signed on and made a ton of cash he doesnt give a F%^$ about those people when he should.

The guy is a trainwreck I cannot admire him

agreed.

political chaos ensues on the other side of the world, the cost of living goes up as a result of the rising price of oil
and the US mainstream media focuses on LiLo and Sheen.
the consumption-driven american public has ADD and an insatiable addiction to pop culture.

But haven't you heard? Charlie Sheen is addicted to winning. In fact he's apparently "bi-winning"; he wins here and he wins there. All we have to do is get Charlie Sheen to win the turmoil in North Africa and the Middle East and he can lower our gas prices

^^^

:D

You made my day, Entropy.

Just 'cause shit's going down in almost the entirety of the Arab/Persian world right now doesn't mean I'm not going to take a minute to read some hilarious Charlie Sheen quotes a few pages over.

His choice of poisons will be the undoing of him.The breakfast of champions (booze and crack/coke) is something hes partaken of for some time but it only appears to have become an issue worth really highlighting since he criticised his employers. The shallowness and hypocrisy of Hollywood..............

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't fairly captivated by the whole affair. It's just such a spectacle of ass-a-palooza, it's not easy to look away.

DMT would KA-RUSH Charlie Sheen. Can you imagine anyone more poorly suited? There's some lessons in there that I bet would do so serious fuckage to his world view.

His dopamine system must be cabbaged.

Adonis DNA ! WTF. He needs to meet lady Salvia, she will put him right.

Egomaniacs crumble at the altar of psychedelics.

I think he'd probably just enter a land of mirrors and have a wicked time :)

can you imagine one of his parties! lol
The mind boggles.
rocks the size of apples, dripping with booze, hookers everywhere, god knows what other substances, it must have been like the last days of the Roman empire!

imagine the hangovers! Nothing can be worth that.

This culture of celebrity worship is really quite appalling.

"Dude, I saw this interview with Charlie Sheen yesterday that was totally crazy!"

"What?"

"Charlie Sheen--"

"Oh, wait, shut up, I don't care. I saw the endless choirs of angels last night on DMT. Have fun re-watching You Tube clips."
