Washing?

Hey guys,

I was curious if its possible to wash the DMT right when you get your first pull? or is it recommended to do the evap process and then wash after?

Also I was looking at this link: Vovin's tek - DMT-Nexus Wiki
How come its repeated again in step 9? Do I have to do 2 different kinds of wash?

Sorry if my question sounded stupid... I'm planning my first extraction process... almost have all the required materials and while I wait for the rest to arrive I decided to clear up all my confusions.

Wash after you separate the pull (or if you join the pulls together). Do it before evapping.

I generally don't feel the need to wash my spice, but my understanding is that you can either add water (or a mildy basic aqueous solution) to the solvent, agitate and separate to wash, or you can get the product from the spice, and then wash with the same in a coffee filter. Both should work fine. You want to perform several smaller washes rather than a single big one. Imagine washing a paintbrush- it will be much cleaner if you wash it in 20ml of solvent and repeat twice rather than washing it in 60ml of solvent once.
