Water hardness/pH?

In a dream I'm about to do Noman's Tek for my first extraction. I have three options for water:

Tap, Spring, or Distilled

Is water hardness and pH important to consider? I would think that I would have to adjust the amount of NaOH for water with a different pH...

Also, I'm pretty sure the city puts Chlorine/Chloramines and fluoride in my tap water too. Is this bad for extractions?

STB is a pH overkill and it will get you where you want regardless of the pH of your water source.

It's the cheapest. You'll be fine with either distilled or spring or tap.

Second that! I'd venture that with that much lye, you'd be fine starting with vinegar.
