Whats everyones favorite bark(powdered) to water ratio?

The first tek i followed was 100grams bark to 600-700ml water. Was a little thick but still worked fine.

But then you read that some people follow the 15ml of water for every 1 gram bark, and when i followed that it was much more watery obviously and i was getting emulsions pretty easily where i wasnt before...

So is less water the way to go?

Are you saying that you use more water in you 100 gram batches? swim uses 50 grm lye & 50 grm mhrb batches with 700/750 mil h2o. I would think 750 mil h2o is to littel for 100 gram batches, Isnt it suppoed to be 1500 h20 for 100 grms mhrb? Thats what I have read.
Emulsions suck period

Ive used 100gram batches in mason jars across the board. The first couple batches were 100g bark/100g lye/675ml water.
While the second was the same but with 1,500ml water...Following the 15ml of water for every gram of bark recommendation. I found that using that much water causes emulsions very easy, while less water doesnt. Just wondering why alot of teks recommend 15ml of water to every 1 gram of bark/lye.

The tek I use is 100g bark to 700ml, and that works fine for me, too. The thicker quality of the bark/sludge seems to make it easy to pour off the Naptha.

So in that matter, do you find it easy to avoid emulsions that way? I think I will give this a try sometime.

I use 10 cl water (sometimes a little less) for every gram of powder and then one gram lye . Sometimes i get some monster emulsion but it goes away after letting it sit for a little bit and then tappin the bottom of the container till all the bubbles pop or dissolve.

emulsion has never been more than a 2 min "oh shit!" and then it settled and no more emulsion. When you guys have emulsion problems, doe sit not go away?

When i used the 15ml water to 1g mhrb/lye i was getting emulsions that didnt want to go away, had to put them in a hot water bath, even then there was still a small layer that didnt want to go away.
Ill never use that much water again.

Never had an emulsion problem-- but I have only run 2 extractions. :)
