Hey evening glory
Do you get many seeds on your Ipomoeas I had several plants growing south of Oslo, lots of flowers but I think only 5 ripe seed pods. last year I had plants in my green house but they never even prodused flowers.
Yeah, I got massive amounts of seeds from all my plants last season. This too was just south of Oslo. I had a total of 9 plants outside, and got over 3000 seeds in total. They all flowered with several flowers each day for a month give or take.
Ipomoeas are not really hard to get in bloom here, you just need to apply massive amounts of water, give them fertilizer often, and let them be in full sun all day long. Start them inside around now, and move them out in BIG pots with a fence, wall or something similar they can climb on while facing south, and I guarantee you success!

What size pots are you using? I have some large pots, but ive ran out of potting soil, so they will have to wait at least a week or two before i can re-pot them.
When I sow them, I use really tiny plastic pots, maybe 5 cm in diameter. As soon as the third leaf pair comes, I repot them in pots with around 15 cm diameter and 20 cm depth. These are kept by a window facing south, or outside during the day when the weather allows it.
As soon as I see the roots starting to come through the bottom holes, they are ready to go in the soil. I plant them either direct in high-quality soil with LOADS of compost, or in very large pots with the same kind of soil. These are then watered about every day, and given fertilizer every second week when they reach some size.
Good luck, fellow botanists!
