Whats with all the pyramids?

I've noticed alot of travelers here have pyramids in their avatars. Sometimes with an eye inside the pyramid. And, every time I journey, I see the eye in the pyramid as well. What is the significance of the eye in the pyramid? Do people simply put it in their avatars because they see it in hyperspace? Or have they had a meaningful experience where they saw the eye in the pyramid?

This question is killing me! I've been noticing it everywhere. In video games like Burnout, and Dragon Age. Movies, music videos. There's one in the city park, one one a building here, and now it's in my spice journeys.

Look that over. I personally don't know much about it. I have seen alot of pyramids(mayan & egyptian) and watching eyes during my travels through the universe, but never thought them to be related or thought them to be the eye of providence.

It is pretty interesting though, the thought of some people having these same images being shown to them. And shown to them by what or who?

Also I have always wondrered why does the United States great seal(on the dollar bill) has the eye of providence set atop an ancient egytian pyramid. What does an egytian pyramid have to do with the 13 colonies?

I definitely think the Eye of Providence spawned from peoples altered states of reality, and they must have had a deep experience when seeing it. If that wasn't the case, then I doubt the eye of providence would be placed in so many places on so many things. There must be a Nexian here that's had experience with this presence/image. A report of this encounter would be most insightful.

The Eye may also have spawned from direct observation of the most natural non-altered state. As Ramana Maharshi, masters and sages invite us to ask "What am I?", "What is it that Witnesses (sees) all this that arises, body included?" To my mind there is no doubt that the Eye it is a fitting pointer to the formless attribute-less consciousness that we inevitably find our self to be, should we use the mirror of inquiry or simply awaken from the dream of maya. It's a good pointer since it is what sees and nothing else - lest we include everything else.

The pyramid reminds one of the words of Wei Wu Wei that point to dimensions and special nature of right angles. Notice how a one dimensional line becomes a two dimensional plane when one moves in a special way (90 degrees). The same for plane to cube. In each case the transition occurs at a special place on the new structure i.e. a corner. So how would moving to the next spacial dimension be accomplished? Whats the next right angle? Take a simple 3 dimensional object - pyramid - then move to a unique point - the vertex and move 90 degrees into the next dimension. And the detached top because the top is not in the third spacial dimension, the top and Eye remain unsullied by the contents of perception because it remains unidentified with what it perceives. It is the seer. That's a stretch maybe, but intuitively it speaks to this mind like that.

The pyramid itself to me is the best way to describe life itself, the bottom of the pyramid representing frequencies which get stronger and higher as you reach the top of the pyramid.

That's a well developed intuition. Your post really has given me a lot of food for thought. I never noticed the dimension change with 90 degree angles until now. Perhaps the eye hovering above the unfinished pyramid could mean that it is consciousness in a higher dimension? Or observing from a higher dimension. For me, that would explain why myself and others keep running into this presence/image while on DMT.

It would make sense that this Eye of Providence, if it observes everything it would know everything. And upon meeting this presence, the eye could impart a portion of its knowledge to someone. Perhaps the first city was inspired by this presence, and maybe people placing the Eye of Providence in every western city is simply a way of giving this source credit? This scenario could apply to money as well...

If Self is always looking from the eye, the symbol also includes a metaphor for the common condition of feeling incomplete. You are the true source and perceiver. You mistakenly identify with that which is seen (the lower part of the pyramid) so we feel like we are incomplete; as is the pyramid in the symbol, due to a separation. The symbol is trying to remind us of our true nature; the seer. If we know this the pyramid is known to be complete as the illusion of separateness is known to be false.
