hello there fellow travelers, i am mimosaqero. i drink mimosa+rue once a week at least, i dont go for full "breakthroughs" all the time, as i find them very unnecessary when it comes to gaining knowledge/insights. my purpose with this brew started for seeking healing and letting go of my trauma/past but as time went on and i learned to move past all these things the true meaning of ayahuasca/oral dmt became overwhelming clear to me. i began understanding this isnt meant for healing, it can heal us in many ways but the medicine truly is our ancestral teacher, connects us to infinite amounts of knowledge and skills that we lost due to colonization/our true lineage identities being suppressed. i no longer drink this brew for healing but to connect to my deep deep lineage thats within me. the brew is like an astral teacher that never stops teaching in some ways the brew also is an astral mother to me as well. this medicine has became part of my family both in the physical realm and the astral realm, i by no means consider myself a master of this brew but the journey ive been on this past year has shown me whats truly within me, infinite knowledge and i wish for one day that this medicine can be shared with the world espec here in the states because so many of us need not just healing on mind but our lineage needs healing from all the evil indoctrination and conditioning we have all been put through, because once our lineage is healed thats where the true meaning of this medicine comes out, all the men and women who stood before us here on earth/pachamama will come to you and teach you, teach you things that will 100% blow your mind. i do acknowledge this path is not for everyone and some if not most just consume this medicine once, twice or maybe lil more and get all they can but i believe im not one of those people. my purpose with this medicine is to share the knowledge and skills ive been shown this past year with the world in hopes i can guide ones on the same journey as i am on the journey of uncovering all that has been hidden from us for thousands of years.

I agree with the sentiment, yet maybe give it a few more years. You can talk about the medicine and your experience with it, but I'd advise against serving it to others.
Everyone is different and you may find that some people react to your brew not as you would expect. This notion of "healing the world" is a common phase on the way.
Some people remain there and create an honest practice out of it, while others just misuse the power. So, better to give it time and work your way toward your goal slowly, feeling the way forward.

Nothing was hidden from us, imo. It's all out in the open and we're just blind to basic truths of life. Even your own understanding will progress and change with time. This world is ancient and what feels to you like a rediscovery has been made countless times. If you feel like serving others, go for it. Just don't push your medicine or ideas onto them. They should be free to make their own choices. That's human dignity and respect at play.

Mimosa feels grand, mystical, and life-changing, but it's sharp and chaotic too. Not everyone is fit to work with this kind of fierce energy. It takes years to see what's up and where you really are. So, once again, take it slow. Take long-term breaks, maybe diet rue by itself for a week sometimes. Basically, try to question yourself and see if your own insights are sound. Illusions are the most common and dangerous form of resistance on the plant medicine path. All the best and may you find what you seek.

Maybe use some basic formatting next time. It'll be easier to read your post that way.

🙏

ive only served family members, no one else and im more so just a trip sitter dont view myself as shaman of any type since im from the western world. id like to make content soon about the brew and other psychedelics, i think thats my true calling but given how the state of youtube can be i know i cant just straight up give advice, i most likely will just be making experience reports and harm reduction videos. i would like to serve the medicine one day but i think thats years in the future given that one year with this medicine is nothing.

Give it time and be honest with yourself. Honeymoon period with these medicines is real. When you get a journey that makes you doubt whether you should continue, it will be the real test. How you react to it and how your practice changes afterward, no one knows. That is why I always advise people to go slowly and put more emphasis on integration.

Consider something like martial arts - say boxing, for example. You cannot be in the ring all the time, and there are lots of interests surrounding your hobby. At some point, you might stop boxing altogether and start to teach, but that is a long time from now. Yet you can still organize some community activities, sell boxing equipment or magazines. Plant medicines are no different. Our lives follow similar rules no matter what we engage in.

i agree with you whole heartedly, thank you for your kind, wise words!

I did so for a while. Eventually I stopped getting much from it, it went mute so to speak. My experiences became less frequent and I think a cycle was completed. That cycle was a cycle of opening my mind (after years without psychedelics). Then a cycle of opening my heart seems to have started, more focused on phenethylamines. I will still revisit *huasca occasionally because to me it shines a light that nothing else does.

About introducing other people to it: I think it's possible to do so as a trip sitter, but it's very important for your role and responsibility to be clear to the other person. They should be taking it as their own decision and under their own responsibility, with you being there just to hold space and provide some safety and comfort should it become difficult. They should be under no impression that you are taking any part in the experience itself.

I have been doing this lately with a couple of friends and it's very gratifying seeing them discover what one has discovered before. In a way, being present for their trip is a trip in itself. Even trip sitting can have some difficult and delicate moments, so do not attempt to guide and don't let others expect that. Basically, you should avoid taking the responsibility of the experience from them.

I know you said you aren't guiding. I'm not saying you are, it's just some general advice based on my recent experience.

I would say that it's likely that *huasca is not the best psychedelic for someone to get started, although there will always be exceptions. It could be better for them to try something milder before, which gives them a chance to be honest with themselves about their readiness to take a deep plunge. I currently think MDMA is ideal for that (never mix it with harmalas), but I expect that to not be shared by a lot of people. There are many alternatives. A moderate-low dose of mushrooms could be an option, as mushrooms are easier on the body than *huasca, and I think a lot of people find the physical effects to add a lot of difficulty.

Just some opinions.

mushrooms def are way easier. the aya comeup is actually really intense lmao. theres times during the ayahuasca come up where i literally feel like im seconds from a panic attack and the only thing keeping me together is my experience and knowledge of the process. i feel this would be very terrifying for someone with no/little experience with psychedelics. i work with mostly ayahuasca and mushrooms, but recently ive gotten into the swing of experimenting with san pedro/mescaline.

Do you cook them together like ayahuasca, or do you consume them separately?
you can consume them together but i dont think its effective, thats why in the amazon they give you a second dose. you should consume the rue 30 mins before the mimosa if its brewed into a tea/extract if its crushed and put into capsules wait at least 45 mins but ideally an hour, then drink the mimosa. i usually brew in batches 100g and reduce it down into a 28oz-32oz brew and id say start small at first drink about .300oz to get a feel of the potency once you get a good hang of it you should go for .800oz-.900oz and that should give you a very obvious psychedelic effect. but remember all mimosa is different so thats why you should start small cause you can have something that only .5% dmt (which is rare) or up to 2% dmt. for the come up i usually just meditate and calm my mind through mantras or chanting/harmonica or you can drink it slowly in the span of 10-15 mins or you can add lemon balm tea into the mix for its calming properties. ayahuasca's come up though is very rough it will open your mind and emotions to things that are very uncomfortable so you should have someone with you if you arent experienced, even if you have tons of experience with other psychedelics, ayahuasca is whole different animal compared to things like mushrooms, there's alot of fear and terror associated with the experience but once you get past this hurdle and learn how to navigate these strong reactions the medicine truly becomes beautiful and far better than any other psychedelic you'll experience, but of course thats my opinion. i also HIGHLY suggest no weed at all during your sessions, weed destroys your short term memory and makes retaining the insights/session very difficult, you'll forget a large portion of it espec the peak, and going into the experience "stoned" will lower your baseline in a bad way because you'll need "more" to get an effect because how weed alters your mind state which will add chances on having a "bad trip" so going into the session 100% sober is non negotiable. if you have any more questions dont be afraid to ask me!

Got a cactus garden? If so, please show in the cactus cultivation section!

There's plenty of cactussy things to be discussed in the other parts of the cactus forum as well.
sadly no, im planning on moving in the next 2 years or so, so dont wanna start a garden until i get settled after i move. i have someone i know that i buy cactus from, but i do plan on sharing my teks i use when preparing the medicine because san pedro is one of those things i feel doesn't have tons of info on.

Yes - please use some paragraph breaks - hit the return key every now and then. It'll help people like me to be able to read your longer posts far more easily.

In the next 2 years? You still have time to propagate cuttings in pots. That's when your cactus journey really begins - there's nothing quite like experiencing a cactus you've nurtured for yourself. The right specimen can put on a surprising amount of growth in just one year.

It's also kind of amazing to be able to contemplate how a plant has been able to turn ones own urine into wonderful alkaloids...

I wanted to address this as well, but didn't know it was allowed on this forum to do so.

It's fine to ask anything within the remit of the forum rules, basically keep it civil, or at least in good humour.

I love this forum lol. people suggest good formatting. go to any subreddit and they vomit massive walls of text 😆 .
also mimosaquero good luck with whatever you do
