can someone help, have looked but have had a hard time finding hard facts on this soo,

when using xylene, how long to seperate? is it bad to shake? should the solvent turn red or stay clear? can plastics be used, or glass only?

Depends. Are you extracting dmt? Jungle? Mescaline?

For the most part I treat it the same as I would naphtha. I always use hdpe "milk" jugs for all types of extractions.. I think it helps to keep it warm. Also I let it sit for a week or 2 swirling the jug once or twice a day.

how would you describe the visual aspect of the solvent during saturation?

It turns a brownish red with mhrb, green with cactus.
Forms an emulsion fairly easily.
Stinky pain in the ass to evaporate.

swims xylene seems to stay fairly clear, swim is so confused about this, emulsion is intense and has wierd film over it , not like naptha at all.

SWIM has 2 pulls evapping on balcony. swim is fairly sure thier is lots of jim and should be plenty of jam, as swim can clearly see a thick lair of precipitate at bottom of jar b4 combining. confused why their is no color in solvent.

jar treatment was as follows;
SWIM gently flipped rotated and swirled for nearly 20 minutes, then let sit settle, then repeated for 5 min then let settle then decant and basted.

And Whats the best way to clean finnal product if evaping outside, lots of dust particles in pan. full spectrum xylene wash

maybe redissolve in acetone/alcohol/IPA, filter and evap again? Acetone will be better (if you can find it pure) because it evaps quicker so there wont be much time to accumulate dust

next time put a thin cloth on top to prevent dust but allow evaporation
