Rising Star
I went into the experience thinking I knew what to expect. I thought it would just be a strange mental state — something temporary, something I could describe afterwards with a few simple words.
I was wrong.
The first thing I noticed was how quickly my normal sense of time started to disappear. A few moments felt stretched out, like my mind was exploring a place where clocks didn't exist. It wasn't a dream, but it also didn't feel like ordinary reality.
The strangest part wasn't seeing unusual things. It was the feeling that my usual identity — my name, my worries, my daily thoughts — was becoming less important. It was like watching a character in a movie and suddenly realizing you had spent your entire life believing you were that character.
At one point, I had this overwhelming feeling that my mind was showing me something I already knew but had forgotten. Not a message from somewhere else, not some magical answer — just a different perspective on myself.
When it ended, the world looked completely normal. The room was the same. My life was the same. But my relationship with my own thoughts felt slightly different.
The hardest part is explaining it. If I say “it changed my perspective,” that sounds too simple. If I say “nothing happened,” that also feels wrong.
Has anyone else experienced a moment where something felt deeply meaningful, but afterwards you couldn't fully put it into words?
How much do you consume?
